does anyone know which version of PPJA more food, PPJA Fruit and PPJA Trees I should download to avoid Json assets shuffle? I read on this server from a moderator that the newer versions have more Json shuffle bc they were changing to DGA or something like that? Sorry if it's confusing! Tysm for any help tho 
the DGA ports just dont work so you should download the JA versions
has nothing to do with shuffle. Shuffle has been largely reduced in the latest iteration of Json Assets, so hopefully it won't happen to you
The DGA version is a bundle. Ignore that one. Just go to the individual pages of More Trees, More Food, etc and download those

How do you remove portraits from mods you install? One of the mods I have includes different portraits for the characters, but if I remove the folder, then the code yells at me. Do I also have to remove the sprites from the mod?
Hi, basically i downloaded Yoba Harp Redux, and its not working. I know its out of date, but i downloaded the fixed version from smapi and when i load the game its saying the mod has loaded, but im not getting the letter which gives me the harp. The same thing happened with 'Ginger Island Extra locations'. can anyone help? thanks
Report the bug to the mod page, that's on the authors end.
Removing the folder itself should be the last thing you do. Check the config if there is any and toggle them off instead.
If you're adamant about it, you'd have to change the content.json inside as well.

Did you start a new game/Did you wait a few days?

Are you certain the extra locations didn't work? Did you check GI?
On my experience yeah, it came with the tools. 
i explored GI for a while and i didnt see anything, so i assume it didnt

Back again, for another strange issue. For the past few game days, several crop sprouts or seedlings have disappeared overnight on my farm. They were protected by scarecrows and watered and fertilized.

(I didn't see anything in my log. All the update warnings are false, I'm guessing something on the ends of the authors.)
I tried to sus out whether it was an issue with Solid Foundations, Tiny Greenhouse, which had errored at some point with the crops I put inside. But it was fine after I slept the last game day. I wondered if it was the crop transplant mod too, but there are several crops I moved that are still thriving.

I'm having an issue where planted crops vanish overnight. It's just one or two crops disappearing seemingly randomly leaving nothing behind. It's happening on both the home farm and the Ginger Island farm and even once in the greenhouse, so I am confident it is not an issue with scarecrow...

hi having issues with my Stardew valley when running around on my friends game it gets stuck for a couple of seconds same with interacting with anything in the world any advice? stable connections both of us never had this problem on console
when in mines as well gets stuck for like 30 seconds while fighting i dont have a carp system either.
we need both logs for a multiplayer game

Are there any mods that have a known issue of causing lighting glitches? There are no SMAPI errors, but something I have loaded causes the in-game lighting to freak out at random intervals. It happens mostly in the mines for some reason.

Figured out my issue. I have the Deluxe Auto-Grabber mod and apparently crops are ticked in the options. I only figured it out after booting the game up again.

Hello! I just installed East Scarp mid playthrough and my map became like this does anyone know why?
That has nothing to do with East Scarp. It's Earthy Recolour not having a patch for the map changes for grandpa's farm on the town map.

I use ES with Earthy Recolour and don't have that issue, that's on SVE then 🤷♀️ there might be a way to disable the town map Recolour for Earthy Recolour

I have a question for folks who have both SVE and RSV - as I’ve been fixing the CC I’ve noticed it looks like the vanilla CC rather than SVE’s (I played through once with SVE before adding RSV), and on the RSV server I was told that RSV doesn’t touch the CC (which I was pretty sure, but wanted confirmation). I’ve gone through the mods I added alongside RSV and those don’t seem to be affecting it either, so I’m at a loss. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The “out of date” mods are mostly ones the creators forgot to update the manifest on the last update. The others published updates after I noticed this problem and I haven’t wanted to change anything more until I figured out what was wrong (it’s not anything that hurts or breaks anything)
you mean the inside of CC? nothing seems to be editing it on the log, so i guess the problem is that SVE's edit isn't happening for some reason. a patch summary might tell why

I found a mod that smapi keeps saying the content JSON is invalid but I can’t for the life of me figure out why
if you throw it in the validator, it should indicate what line the json is breaking on. Person probably forgot a comma or bracket https://smapi.io/json/

okay, so the SVE patches for it aren't applied because they are conditional on the player having seen event 191393, which is the community center completion event. maybe SVE doesn't edit it before that? there doesn't seem to be any other patches for it

that content was introduced in game version 1.5 and it isn't in the android version (unless you're using a mod that adds it i guess)

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

Find replace is a lifesaver, especially for map conversions

Otherwise it would have taken me years to fix Isla's after modifying the map name to normal CP conventions

in other words, don't touch false, don't touch change to temporary map
That GhostHouse part is the only thing to touch
(honestly, if you wanted to fix all events at once, find replace, use "GhostHouse" as the find, and "Custom_Cecilia_GhostHouse" as replace)

While it may be, just going to warn you that if we're talking Denver and Cecilia's rival line, the later one with Marlon in it will bug out if SVE is installed, as Balverines_Marlon is not loaded in SVE
so you'll have to fix that too in the future
(in general, the github versions of them are somewhat buggy, which is understandable as they're hidden on Nexus for updates anyway)

are they all bald or just some of the higher numbers? I don't use that mod but I have like 10 bald spots in the middle of my hair replacements but I do technically have all the hairs.
in the game i cannot access MI at all :/
i've been using Customize Anywhere and it does this weird thing where it lists thousands of hairs with many bald spots in between. kinda impossible to navigate tbh. i just cant click 3000 times

Also Mermaid Island shows up in my game, so can't be of much help there. It does look like a component is missing though.

Mermaid Island also has a ridiculous number of requirements, so it's easy to miss stuff :/

I'm not sure why but lots of people who use controllers seem to have trouble when they click on the little machine at Willy's--for some reason only the unmodded locations (ie Ginger Island) show up
maybe see if clicking with the mouse just for that helps?
but I just did a search b/c this suddenly sounded familiar and someone else had this problem back in October and they were also playing with a controller, though they weren't able to fix the issue when they clicked with the mouse (not sure if the controller has to be completely disengaged or what) :/
ok so i still haven't been able to figure out what's causing flashing lights in my game. I don't see any bugs related to this on the nexus pages for the mods I have. I also did not have this issue before I started modding so I'm certain it is most likely a mod bug

Hi, I'm back for help on an issue I asked for help on earlier - I'm on my first playthrough with both SVE and RSV downloaded after playing through once with just SVE, and for some reason restoring the CC looks like the vanilla CC inside instead of the SVE CC. I checked on the RSV server and they confirmed that RSV wouldn't affect it, and when I got help here earlier the person who helped me said it looked like the SVE patches being applied was conditional on viewing the community center completion event. I've finally had time to do that, but the CC is still vanilla, and I'm not sure what to do. I've checked the other mods I've added since I first installed SVE and they haven't changed the situation, and I'm at a loss. That's true, I didn't. I actually viewed the cutscene, left the CC, went back in to see if anything changed, got the patch log, and came here, at which point my game crashed
I actually just went back into the game and took the screenshot and am just going to go to bed right after.
Yeah that'll be the problem. The way patching in mods works is that changes only get saved and baked into your save after sleeping

Full disclosure, I went in and checked on the SVE map patches to figure out what's up. The SVE Community Center changes only happen to CommunityCenter_Refurbished once you've seen the community center completion cutscene
So: Identical to vanilla before completing
Then you complete it, and until you sleep, 191393 is not baked into your save
Once it's baked in, the condition "HasSeenEvent" fires, and loads CommunityCenter_Refurbished, in this case SVE's version.
I wasn't sure if it took the overnight save or if it happened right away. I only played through SVE once and didn't pay much attention as I was restoring it because I didn't know about the additional changes at the time.

With the other mod? It’s a mod that adds new buildings, and when I go to Robin’s to upgrade one then go back to my farm and try to enter it, the game crashes. The errors in the SMAPI log don’t specifically mention the mod in question, but the only time this particular issue happens is when I do what I just described.

One last question, though, I only really want these mods for one save file I made, if I want to play another file, or even multiplayer, is it safe to remove the mods and put them in a different folder to return back to regular gameplay, or could that corrupt something?
it's safe, only the saves that you open are affected (and permanently only if you save the day after opening). you might consider using mod groups for convenience

Small and medium font settings are working just fine. However there is a problem with "Dialog Text" for english version of the game. There is simply no option to change that. But as far as I see it does works for asian version of the game.
Someone already mentioned this issue to the owner but seems like project abandoned.
I really want to change it. Is there anything I can do to make this work?

I did some digging and found a program which you can edit dlls with it. its called "justdecompile". With that app I opened dll and saw so many coding going on. I thought that if I could just edit "kr" to "en" and that would voila! lol

C# mod difference is generally the main problem with Multiplayer Mod stuff. Sometimes it's benign, like not allowing farmhands access to the forest/ranch, sometimes it's not, like we're seeing here

- Type

Hello, I use the recolor foliage redone mod, I would like to use the CP White Water Farm mod, is there any way to correct the areas that have a different texture?

But there are areas of the map that my recolor doesn't work and there is a break with the texture I use and with areas that it doesn't cover

Seeing as foliage redone had long since been taken down, it likely has not been updated with the more recent map tiles. That or whatever custom one it uses doesn't have a matching variant for it.
You could manually change the sprite sheets but it'd take ages
Solution; nothing, really. Unless you'd like to dabble in tiled yourself and remove said wonky tiles or recolor it yourself.
Consider another recolor and/or map, mayhaps.
Lnh's maps are really pretty and might have something similar to what you want

the save thing was unrelated to SVE, Cavadess, btw
your save got corrupted somehow, and it wasn't by a mod

I don't think it's a save game issue. I totally deleted all my saved games

anyone know what mod is causing this weird thing outside the wizard tower? I have SVR3 installed and Juna the NPC affecting the area but to my knowledge i took out every other mod that would affect this area
I'm silly, I just opened the map for the compat, this is what it's supposed to look like
when I played with Juna before there was a cave opening if memory serves so I thought it was being blocked
I don't think anyone here knows the issue you're having with those two mods and won't be able to advise without more detail. Automate works. Portraiture relies on PyTK which will soon become obsolete. But like I said without more info, I'm not sure the exact issue you're having unfortunately
i recently added SV expanded to my game and if I want to not play expanded but play with different mods do I have to uninstall all the mods for SVE? sorry if this question is dumb ive never really used mods before
Portraiture you can probably replace with HD Portraits. It works a bit differently from what I can tell, but Portraiture is on its way out.
It's probably easiest to use some kind of mod manager if you want to turn off several mods at once. I'm not sure which one is the best for Stardew Valley, but that seems to be the easiest way.

For using mods, you install both HD Portraits and an HD Portraits compatible portraits mod.
HD Portraits does not change portraits on its own, but allows you to install mods that do.

hey quick question, there's a mod adding stuff around the sign post to the bustop that's messing with RSV3. I cannot for the life of me figure out which mod is causing it
Is it possible it's RSV?
The missing manifest means that file is missing from the mod. Try reinstalling the mods

Also, make sure to delete any zip folders you may still have in your mods folder, since that can cause issues as well

So delete ALL the mods that say they're not SMAPI mods

I think the Bamtans for Adopt n Skin are meant to go inside the AnS folder. I've never used the mod so I'm not too sure if there's anything you need to make them work, read the mod description for any instructions
For the DCBurger RSV portraits, those need to be dragged inside the RSV folder itself

this is what it looks like, RSV is not currently installed and I just reset terrain features
And natural color isn't a mod, but a reshade, it's meant to be installed like a program. If you already installed it, you can delete the folder. If not, read the mod description again for instructions :)

Hi, what version of Miss Coriels Unique Response Core works for android? It keeps saying DLL could not be loaded
out of curiousity, what does this error mean: Adopt & Skin uses deprecated code (IAssetEditor) and will break in the next major SMAPI update.
its a warning for mod authors to update their mods, since the code they're using for the mod is old

For the user, this just means that the mods have old code and will break in SMAPI 4.0 if they are not updated - it is not anything to worry about at this time. Heya, all. I'm hosting a RSV multiplayer instance, and it's misbehaving. When I first enter the bus stop map and the || the event with Lenny and Lewis triggers ||, two things happen:
- First, the other farmhands don't see the cutscenes (which is fine if they would see them themselves, but they don't seem to retrigger for other players)
- Second, any farmhand that enters the map has a client crash
We've disabled all mods except for RSV dependencies. I don't have an SMAPI crash log atm, but I can force one to be generated. I'm hosting from Linux (Steam Deck) and my other players are on Windows.

The first part sounds normal- some scenes are host only. The second sounds like mismatched mods
well I really was hoping I wouldn't need to come back here but now I'm not sure what to do. I am able to save and go to another day most times. But I just did SO MUCH. I had time paused and completed the community center and built up my farm quite a bit over the last few hours. I went to save and move onto the next day and now it's stuck in a look. SMAPI is having a time to say the least. I don't want to have to close stardew and LOSE EVERYTHING FOR THE SECOND TIME

So I tried pressing enter and I've been trying to upload my log since I posted but the webpage keeps wiggin out on me. It let me load the file once but wouldn't let me save and continue. Now it won't even load it up. I've tried both dragging and dropping as well as picking the file from the site using the "choose a file" option
pressing enter stopped it for a split second and then it kept running in cicles
it just keeps popping with errors. It's stuck in a loop
i'm gonna have to close the game and lose my save aren't I?

alright. I'll close the game and try to redo the log. Hopefully we can at least figure out what's causing it so I can disable/configure it

it means the log is too big, basically the solution to that is opening the actual .txt file yourself and copying from the top to the first few errors

in animal produce expansion's folder, there might be a file named config.json
there is a template-config, but that goes unused by the game
yup that makes sense, if you aren't planning on making a custom config for that mod, it would probably be best to remove it
