Yeah, so it's probably related to the Json Assets errors frostyAtravita mentioned. Json Assets doesn't handle duplicates very well.
(it should be handling duplicates better these days, but saplings got missed)

Hey y'all, I'm trying out modded stardew for the first time and I've been told that Vortex is a no go. However, I'm trying to install Stardew Valley VERY Expanded (https://next.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/collections/tckf0m?tab=Mods) and the only option I see is to do it via Vortex. Can you not batch download Collections manually? Do I have to download each one individually? Or is there a simpler way.

Not sure if that had something to do with it, all I know is when I deleted some code from that file in SMAPI and recompiled it, it was fixed.
At some point there were some updates to help with invalid screen location issues I think??
And some stuff to make it comply better with what windows thinks apps should do

I just deleted this crap from the app.manifest
And it made my window stop disappearing.
Otherwise it would run away off the bottom of the screen.
It looks like it now has some code about checking dpi per monitor, maybe that would be the fix?

Hey everyone, im trying to play stardew valley with my gf with universal splitscreen, but im having a problem.
For some reason, when i open the game and go to start splitscreen (on Universal Splitscreen) , none of the instances can click item in menu :(

Hey sorry to bother you all. I am trying to figure out how to trouble shoot retextures not working properly. I was using Gweniaczek's medieval mod sets with starblue valley, which worked great.. until adding stardew valley expanded universe + immersive farm remastered (from SVE's nexus page). It is only the craftables that will not show up right. Mailbox, buildings, tools, items have no issues. Just the craftables and I cannot figure out why. I tried changed the folder name for the craftable item retexture so it would load later, since it looked like starblue valley loaded after it and could have overwritten it? Sorry, I am still I am pretty new to this. I do at least know how to find the error log and have been trying to go through that but honestly have no idea what I'm doing..
Hii guys! I've been trying to download reshade for my game but it keeps saying that either important files or an important folder is missing. If anyone knows how to properly install the mod or what I'm doing wrong, I'll appreciate the help!

I was using smapi latest version before, then i tried downgrading it to a older version that still supported 1.5.6
You definitely need to update your SMAPI

Yours is a problem between Cute Valley - Pink and Flowery Pink House. You can only pick one or the other unless there's a config option, because what I'm seeing in your log is two mods wanting to load the same asset
this happens with VPR too. Adding SVE into the mix somehow breaks VPR and medieval craftables and I'm p sure the same crap happens with Starblue. There is a config for the craftables in the Starblue. Change it to false and see if that helps.
And when SMAPI sees that, it freaks
Given Cute Valley's the mod that seems to be throwing most of the errors, I'd toss that. Otherwise, it looks like at least according to the mod you'd need to code in a dynamic token

i need some suggestions of making my two laptops support stardew valley? without buying new laptops - that's obviously after tax season thing. Both laptops are fairly old (one is 2014 and one is 2019)
One is an acer (it runs sometimes times/lags out) the other one is the newer one - and it runs fairly decent but times out as well.

You say times out, is the game crashing?
Lag is much harder to debug, but crashing can probably be avoided
Is there a way to force the mod Khadija's Recipe Shop to carry a specific recipe? I'm playing with that, the PPJA Mods, and the community kitchen mod and need a cherry pie to complete the community center but it hasn't shown up in the shop yet >_<

The Error Handler one is normal when updating East Scarp - Lemur changed Kat's internal name.
I don't know what's up with your data patch thing though for East Scarp 2.2. I would reinstall there

The Content folder is a game folder that has all the game assets in it
which would explain why your game wasn't working at all, if you tried deleting it

Waaaaaaaay back when I first started installing mods, back in the days of Stardew 1.3.36 when SMAPI was more limited and XNB replacers were the only way to touch certain assets, something went wrong with an XNB mod I had installed in a multiplayer game that resulted in a flowerpot only existing on my side of the game and not the host's. It had collision and everything. It was on the porch of the host's house and when we left a festival I got trapped with the flowerpot between me and the stairs.
I actually have no idea what file I downloaded that caused this issue, I feel a bit dumbfounded.
The host couldn't interact with the flowerpot at all because it didn't exist on her side. We were REALLY confused and we ended up sending screenshots to each other to prove that it was, in fact, a thing on my side and not on hers. In the end we resorted to using how passing out at 2am puts the farmer in their bed even if they were trapped behind a limbo flowerpot made of mods gone horribly wrong.

And then for some reason you put a Content folder in your mods folder? If a mod you downloaded included a Content folder, it's probably outdated since SMAPI can handle changing or replacing any asset much safer than a Content replacer

so the Nexus one is as far as I know the most up to date version

i'd guess that either you're supposed to install only one of the conflicting mods, for example Mods\[FS] 後之夏头发, Mods\Usirono Natus【[JA]+[FS]】\[FS] 後之夏头发 looks like the first is FS only version and the second JA+FS, or that the author made a mistake by putting the same UniqueID to the manifest.json files of multiple mods. the latter you could fix by changing the UniqueID's, but it could result in other problems

the energy container just keeps increasing
How can you tell which tilesheets are overriding each other? Had starblue valley coupled with some medieval mods and it also changed the look of seeds and such earlier but now the seeds and plants and foragables are vanilla and I don't know what's conflicting.

looks like nothing is editing the cave, but on the other hand i think you didn't load a save? so the mods that possibly edit it might not show on the log

So I'm new to downloading JA mods, if I download a clothing mod for example how would I get the actual thing in game
You either need a clothing store that sells them, Cjb item spawner to spawn them in, or customize anywhere which includes a dresser that has all the JA clothes you add to the game
i usually go for Customize Anywhere as the dresses includes ALL items. Same for CJB. Tailor Mouse includes a limited stock daily so if you're looking for a specific item it's a bust
CJB or customize anywhere are your easiest options as there aren’t many clothing shops available and they usually need some configuration to carry the clothes you’ve downloaded

yep, understandable. you might want to slowly start migrating those over to HD Portraits since PyTK will probably become obsolete with SMAPI 4.0.0 but for now, that's the cause of you slow startups

Just giving a guess but have you updated smapi?
if you replaced the original RSV portrait files with HD versions from DCBurger, that would happen
since RSV uses normal sized portraits

yeah, looks like it uses pytk scaleup to use the HD portraits with CP but i think the pytk scaleup functionality is broken currently
i'm not sure though, could be another problem

Ah, I have resolved the issue. I was just dumb and didn't even have PyTK installed in the first place lol XD I must have been overwhelmed when downloading all the RSV required mods, etc.
That 3 is mods that comes with SMAPI installation. That three being loaded are fine tho. Have you tried launch the game through the original exe (Stardew Valley.exe)?

Go to the game folder and run Stardew Valley.exe. The game should run in vanilla
If the game is still laggy, the problem is the game itself and try verify game files through steam

It is no bug. To unlock him, you must enter Clint's smithy at least once. Then sleep. If it is a sunny day, he will appear in town before nighttime and become a new NPC resident

Hello i have a problem with smapi even though i have used it before and have vortex, when i try to play stardew through vortex to play modded stardew it just boots up normal stardew un modded and doesn't even boot smapi. Any ideas on how to fix this

yes, although it's possible AT would sometimes override. You can always use the paintrbush/bucket to "fix" it back to the texture mod's texture

8gb is probably enough but it's possible to hit that cap if you have heavy stuff in the background, windows 7 is a little on the old side but should work

You can install profiler to try to get an idea of what might cause that
