is there any better way to updating a bunch of mods at once other than manually downloading all of them and adding them in manually @_@

Your save got corrupted thanks to the blackout. You will need to swap to the "old" files in your save folder, and if that doesn't work you'll need to go to SMAPI's save backups folder

I'm testing things out on the issues I'm having w/stardew valley. My mods aren't causing any problems and instead Stardew Valley wont run if I'm on the tab, it gets rid of my cursor and freezes. Does anyone know any solutions to this?

If the save is entirely vanilla and you're basically just running vanilla mods, and it crashes, you tried at some point to install an XNB mod.
Because according to you, you'd be able to boot that save from vanilla if you booted vanilla and open the parsnip box with no problem. But since that isn't happening and you're hard crashing, there's a content file bug.

A content issue would throw errors in the log
the only type of error I've seen hard-crash with no trace is an access violation error
which...no way Content Patcher alone is causing

Was loading my save game and got a ton of red errors at the bottom, the game crashed (As in I didn't close it) and I don't see the red letters at the bottom now of the log. So I don't know what happened.

It happened when I loaded my save, it showed red, I got log. I didn't start another load till after I posted the first log, so I could try and see if it'd happen again.

CBJ cheats menu has that option plus a bunch of others. You can also try the better sprinklers mod

Lol, I meant the cbj cheats menu has the option of auto watering. I didn't meant to imply that the character is the one watering it.
when installing smapi, it should have suggested a path for where it would be installed. make sure the launch options are set to that path
you're stating StardewModdingAPI does not exist and the same filepath/launch options/etc. doesn't have it, from what I can tell
So in general, we need to know if StardewModdingAPI exists currently in the filepath SMAPI installed it in (or if it got eaten by an antivirus)

SMAPI works on its own rules
Unzip the installer to somewhere not the mods folder, then run the installer and choose to install SMAPI
SMAPI should uninstall the old automatically and install the new one

Anyway, PyTK is old and will slow load times. You don't need to remove it, but it would be vastly helpful to you if you could

Anyways, malea02, I don't know what mods you have that rely on platotk but there are like two of them
Soon though with SMAPI 4.0 it'll just flat out break
Those will not load so you'll want to convert Custom Furniture packs, NPC mods, etc.
If you can't live without whatever would break and can't/won't convert, then keep PyTK and eventually suffer in SMAPI 4.0
The current error: the ambiguous match is because spacecore has a new overload precisely for smapi 4.0.0
It's an easy enough fix some one just has to do it lol

i have event viewer open and it shows 2 errors for smapi, the first for .NET runtime and second for the application
Yep, there's something wrong with the system and/or terminal; .NET is crashing as soon as SMAPI tries to Console.ReadLine(). Just to make sure, have you already tried restarting the computer to reset the terminal state?

If it still happens after a restart, try temporarily disabling your antivirus and any other security software, then see if it still happens.

First that's in select mode you probably shouldn't do that but that's unrelated to your problem

So what you're describing to us is somehow your mod's files are being yeeted upwards along the file chain
or just copy and paste the address and cd (change directory) there

does challenging community center bundles not work with the DGA version of PPJA? i'm sure i'm launching with the correct config ("BundleVariant": "PPJA_SVE"), but my smapi log says my CCCB config settings are invalid :/
Well, given how the troubleshooting is going...
The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

The error-handling seems to be a .NET bug (https://github.com/dotnet/runtime/pull/75734), but I'm not sure why the pipe is disconnecting in the first place. Unfortunately the only other suggestion I can think of is more drastic: resetting the PC may fix the issue by removing most of the installed software and reinstalling the default stuff (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/recovery-options-in-windows-31ce2444-7de3-818c-d626-e3b5a3024da5#bkmk_reset_pc).

Hi all, I removed some visual mods such as "Better Resources", "Better Gems and Minerals", and "Better Crops and Foraging". Since then I've been getting a message from Steam pretty much saying ill have corrupted loads. Here is my smapi log https://smapi.io/log/be5d99c3f6c0424383fbea7a95c46b72 . All of my mods should be up to date and the only mod ive found that didn't have content was SAAT. I have no idea where to go on this now.

So we have several issues here, and none of them would have been solved by uninstalling those mods.
Honestly. I would just full on delete all your mods, reinstall SMAPI, then reinstall all your mods

I'm currently dragging and dropping the extracted files into mods, is that ok? currently deleting and redownloading everything. Any ideas on what caused this? Also it was my steam save file that was corrupted and my backup on the computer cut out like 10 days in game, is there a reason for that and/or a way to recover? I havent played that save since i saw that.
Assuming you're dragging and dropping folders into mods, that makes sense. But if you're dragging the stuff inside the new folders into mods, that's why all your saves are being destroyed.

okay so looking at my saves folder the dates of the save aren't the same date that was played last. last date played was 10/30 but the saves are 10/26. However the spacecore serialization is 10/30. is that going to be an issue?

Also if you look at your saves folder - the saves folder and not SMAPI's backups - then that means you probably only played one day if there's that large of a date difference

I do run some kitchen mods (Asters buildable kitchen, no default kitchen) , and Love of Cooking, but I suspect it's a compatibility issue with some repeated recipes or something. My Better Crafting has cooking component turned off.
Can someone give me a hint how to find the culprit please?
Basically I can use kitchen once in Single Player, and then I have to reload. I suspect one of recipes is the reason.
the game's save now is fall 18 Yr 2 but it was Fall 27 yr 2.

Like I said the original saves you had in there you could have just removed the _old from the two in there and deleted the current ones without _old and it would possibly have worked.
This is why I specified the saves folder and not SMAPI's backups
okay, once i reinstall my mods I'll try the "_old" file. do the "date modified" dates mean anything then or no?
Date modified means it's when the file was "written" so to speak.
So, in the original files you had, before replacing with the backup, the save is when the save was made.
So in your original files, the original save would have been the day you would have been on (example, say it would have been Fall 26, but your day corrupted). The _old is just one day prior at all times
the only way for it to be not one day prior is if something is so far wrong with your Stardew install it isn't even funny

do you know if Fishing Made Easy Suite is compatible with more new fish? it modifies the location data that determines where the fish spawn so it could override the more new fish spawns (also Sunflower Acres Farm is modifying that too, but seems less likely to be the problem)
i've used Fishing Made Easy with More New Fish before with no issues....and i would think that if Sunflower Acres Farm was the issue, that they never would have shown up in the first place...but idk 😦

it's possible that the patch order changed. currently fishing made easy suite is editing the location data after more new fish so it's very possible that it overrides MNF's edits

I have the following issue
- I uninstalled Asters buildable kitchen mod as it was causing issues in my load order.
- Now I have Robin's mail that she "sent me a fridge" or something from that mod using MailAPI blocking the mailbox. If I close the message, the next one is the same, so I cannot get any other messages.
- It's a Windows SMAPI setup.
Can I somehow edit the same to remove the problematic mail from the mailbox?

Yeah, obviously without SMAPI you are not running mods. With SMAPI you are running mods. One of mods causes the lag. Turn them on one by one to see which one.

Yes. I run a bunch of other mods including Love of Cooking. And starting Summer I cannot use the cooking stove more than once, afterwards it says "kitchen appliance in use, try again later". It was a custom kitchen from Asters mod, so I removed it and normal kitchen works.

It's possible that you forgot to remove the MFM component and that is causing glitches
Testing it now to see if it works, but I recall that message coming back before :D. I think it wants me to take a fridge from the mail using Mail API, but the fridge isn't in the email.

hey everyone, can you maybe give a hint what is causing my problem?
Basically at some point of the day the camera stops moving, it then only moves if I open a menu. the error starts on page 2 of the log. I can make it back to the farm via warping with cbj but then it doesn't look like it'll save when i go to bed.

If I loaded Farmer B, SVE would apply (and I'd have to reset some terrain stuff probs), but I could still quit out and nothing would change on the file, and I could still run it without SVE
the second it saves, though, SVE is fully applied and has to be error-handlered out in order to play it without SVE

you can trash the old ones if you find them one day
if you don't want the temptation of the item spawner just play a day with the new tools, save, and remove the item spwaner mod

hi all, yesterday i deleted and redownloaded all of my mods after some sort of catastrophic failure. Currently my island items are wrong or missing images, as well as my fish products. The only XNB mods i have are the cuter fatter animals. No errors showing in my log. Sorry for the late answer, i was already in bed for work when you answered. So i guess Null means not there and smapi tries to load something that isn't there and thus goes crazy?

When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. hi! i was adding some last mods to my game file before starting a new farm and everything was going well, nothing got error loading in etc, but when i went to Pierre's to buy more seeds, i see that it just doesn't let me access it, like if it was completely gone. Crossplay is not currently possible with Stardew Valley, and it is unknown if it ever will be. According to ConcernedApe there are technical barriers that make it unfeasible. He would like to add it and may start looking into how to do it but currently it is not implemented.

@dense inlet Does that happen when looking up custom mine stones from the Custom Ore Nodes mod? That's a known issue if so; Lookup Anything can't get their sprite info. It'll be much easier to integrate the two mods in the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6, using its new item system.
