No worries. Some you can only edit from the main menu
There's a cog in the bottom left on the main menu to edit there
But most can be edited on the fly
Oh, and remember to hit "save" after you uncheck the box
otherwise it won't apply

X = 0, Y = 0 would be the top left of your screen

Hi everyone! I just downloaded the mod Better Juminos and I think it's great. I was wondering if anyone here is using it and figured out how to make the Juminos replant the same crop that they harvested on the same tile. Right now, my Juminos are replanting just the strawberry crops on all my tilled soil even if I have multiple seeds on the chest. I want to make them plant kale if they harvested kale on that plot, plant cauliflower on the plot where they harvested cauliflower and so on.
hi so awhile ago i posted in #vanilla-tech-support about a bug i was receiving because i wasn't certain it was about my mods. but now im pretty sure its a mod thing. basically the bug is that I will load in the game just fine but if i switch what item i'm holding then it will give me like 7000+ energy (this is a new save so it shouldnt be happening) and if i use that tool my energy depletes by like 60 every time. its really weird and i've never had this before.

for most mods you can use generic mod config menu mod. if that doesn't work, then editing the config file with a text editor
(most often the config file is called config.json in the mod folder, but it could have a different name too)

quick question so on naver cafe u can get the png for merging the hairstyles so it wont overwrite anything how does that work tho
I'm running Vibrant Pastoral Recolor and NPC Map Locations, and supposedly Map Locations has compatibility with VPR, but my world map is using the vanilla colors. I can't find options anywhere that I might have neglected to turn on or off, nor do I think I have any mods that should be somehow overwriting something except maybe RSV or East Scarp
Although when I had Foliage Redone turned on for a minute, the world map showed those proper colors and just had East Scarp in the vanilla colors. Odd-looking, but it at least showed the recolor was working.
Their proposed method is to merge it into the vanilla hairstyles and pack it into xnb in order to replace the original assets.
Method above is not really recommended, so you can;
A. Do a quick merge and make a fast Cp replacer
B. Use Cp to make the hairs non-replacers
C. Convert it to FS

nope, the only thing i can think of that would affect it is UI info suite, but i haven't had issues with it in the year i've been using it
UI info suite isn't affecting UI cause it's just adding a page so you can see some info

This is usually a case of mismatched mods
Specifically, your host and you (and potentially host and others) do not have the same mods - one of you probably has a mod you think is cosmetic but instead adds a Json Asset or C# component or something.

Because if the host's game is working fine but the farmhand's is not that pretty much tells me the host is trying to communicate something to the farmhand over multiplayer that the farmhand literally does not have.
(Analogy: Host and farmhand usually speak the same language, but in this case the host started speaking Greek and the farmhand does not know Greek)

you have 82, they have 84. This instantaneously means there will be immediate bugs. Content Packs usually are fine, but a difference of C# mods is fatal to playing

Alright catGifts is probably one problem. Still checking the rest of the log, but I don't know what its file contents are supposed to be doing (there are XNB files that look to be applied through content.json, which is weird but not completely off-kilter, but it does have a C# component)
so either install on your end or host uninstalls

yeah, for the future: C# and JA mods generally both have to match, and that's at a minimum. Best way is just to have the same mods, though there is an allowed variation of cosmetic stuff
E.g. I can use Seasonal Cuter Aesthetic while host uses Diverse Stardew Valley
But that's explained in the link up there
Just remember the host's mod folder that they're sending over is replacing your current Mods Folder. Don't just toss it in your mods folder currently or you'll get so much red text XD

If the host use winrar, she sees that feature "compress and send with email"
Files with the extension .zip, .rar, or .7z are archive files, which you can extract to get the actual files inside. For a .zip file, just right-click (or long-press on Android) it and choose the option like extract or uncompress. For .rar and .7z, you need to install third-party software first, like 7-zip https://7-zip.org on Windows, Keka https://keka.io on macOS, PeaZip https://peazip.github.io on Linux, or ZArchiver https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver on Android.
7zip is much better but if they have to use it for something else then that's fine XD

The second part of that one is resetting content files
If you're wondering why on resetting content files, even in base game "20:53:58 WARN Content Patcher Can't apply image patch "lunakatt's DCBurger Style Portraits for SVE > EditImage Portraits/GuntherSilvian" to Portraits/GuntherSilvian: the FromFile file 'assets\Gunther.png' doesn't exist." Gunther.png should still exist. (That may end up just being a Seasonal Cute error i.e. Gunther's seasonal cute is missing, but again, this is why reinstall it)
Do all of that and we'll see if we can't get somewhere here

Delete the main SVE mod, then reinstall it before booting the game

I have installed east scarpe and I can see a crosswalk to there but I can't walk there, like it nothing happens, why is diiiiiis, I don't think I have anything conflicting with it
it worked the first time in steam you go to properties and put in a line of code to make it launch with smapi and now that code doesnt work
If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. The SMAPI installer will tell you what to set as the launch options when it completes (green text). You have a domino effect going on. DaisyNiko's Project Yellog isn't loading, because you have the most recent version which does not have the Project Yellog files in it - 1.6.1 has the files if you either want to pull them from that version, or just use that version wholesale
Because the Project Yellog part isn't working, the East Scarp mod flat-out crashes.
This means East Scarp is not in your game because the main city area literally can't be loaded without the tilesheets.
Yep. And that particular error dominos into all the red you have. Yikes.
This whole tilesheets thing is confusing me, I think that's the part I always get the most error with

The quick and dirty explanation: Tilesheets are the graphics of the map.
If I make a map in stardew, I use tiles from tilesheets on stuff to create the map.
Essentially, no graphics means it can't load anything because nothing is defined.
If you weren't using Project Yellog, you'd be fine!
But since you're using Project Yellog, until DaisyNiko updates the tilesheets, you are needing to use version 1.6.1 or move the Project Yellog files from that version into your current one
Because without the tilesheets, East Scarp and all of its locations go bye-bye
I love project yellog tho

East Scarp only comes with Jacob, Eloise, and Aideen flat out to start (unless I'm missing someone). To give the town life you'll need many of the add-on characters, some of which are only in the East Scarp discord server

So I finally started to play. But not for long. The game crashed after the intro scene while skipping to the bus sequence. I have quite some errors in my log. The first one with the farm house I figured and deleted one. But the others are a bit more tricky and I need some help to get the mods throwing these errors working (if possible)

Some people have the same problem with More Random Edition mod and no fix posted (nexus mod page on bug tab). If you have problem in game, you might need to disable or delete the mod
I would start by disabling More Random Edition and Helpful Spouses
Pretty sure any mod that adds new mine spawns would reduce the spawn rate of vanilla spawns. Do you know if any of your mods are adding custom mine spawns?
Tbh though it sometimes takes me several in-game days to find even the most common elements

Hello I'm trying to make Adorbs Beach compatible with the SMAPI version for Android. Maybe there is a more efficient way, I admit I have no idea what I am doing, but so far I have:
-Installed all relevant mods in Android compatible versions.
-Edited the maps config file to work with the content patcher version that works for android.

i deleted all the i18n files and I just reinstalled RSV but it's still taking a really long time to load and it deleted all my saves :(

When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. maybe the Elliott one accidentally ended up nested inside another folder?
Could be I guess. I did do some rearranging last week where I sorted mods into folders(ie CP into a CP mods folder, etc).
(other possibility is someone based their manifest off the Elliott one and forgot to change the unique ID lol)

There should be a window that pops up, and you'll see a folder in the list that says Mods
That folder is the ONLY place you will be putting the mods you use.

Extract Ridgeside from its zip to the Mods folder

Do the same with each zip file of any dependencies to the Mods folder
Your Mods folder should now have a list of named folders within it
You should not have two named folders with the same name
how do I check to see if I do?

Go delete your other mods you added. Leave ONLY the Ridgeside files, and dependencies, you added just a moment ago

i just deleted everything not related to RSV

Let's take this from the top. First, even if you've already done this, go to Ridgeside Village's page on Nexus, and please download the zip.
Also, delete any Ridgeside stuff currently in your mods folder.

Open the file location when you get there, where-ever it's downloaded to. Downloads, a folder, desktop, where-ever the download location is for the zip, go there first.
for some reason, when I try to upgrade my barn (standard to big), big barn isn't showing up in the building catalog at robin's?
it's not next to the barn in the building list, stef
it's at the end of the list.
So just hit the right arrow until it shows up.

Then you already have big barn
Whether that's an old one or a current one, you already have. So hit build on Deluxe Barn
It should only give one upgrade at a time, unless I'm mistaken.

Alright. Unzip that one to your mods folder by right clicking and press "Extract all..."
Lyoko, so you know, they have/had a random i18n folder sitting in their main mods folder. That may or may not play into the troubleshooting
Then hit browse, find your mods folder, and make sure your filepath looks something like....
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods
that's what it is for me
If you are unsure, send a screenshot. I want to make sure this is unzipped into your Mods folder properly
Okay. Assuming you extracted that file correctly, you should now have all of the necessary files in the RidgesideVillage Folder in your mods folder. So. From here, please boot your game and send a log

Your computer should not have mis-unzipped so I'm anticipating either no problems or it'll show multiples if you forgot to delete some old stuff.

Most likely, yes. The screenshot you gave earlier was... appalling thanks to having XNB files, which are bad, and mod files directly in the mods folder, which is worse

So I would go search up the mod stuff you were given and go install them, then check what goes wrong
