That one does have a CP folder for Dusty. It's probably overriding Elle's. Best suggestion I can give is to copy the one from Elle's that you want and paste it into the CP one for Dusty Overhaul

I do still see some oddities though, but I'm unsure why
mainly a lot of duplicate routes
Basically you can't have two sprite/portrait mods that affects the same character, so DSV isn't compatible with Slightly Cuter Aesthetic because SCA affects every character without being able to disable specific characters like DSV does and it overwrites DSV's changes. It's compatible with individual character mods because you can turn off that character in DSV to let the other mod take priority π
Also as far as I'm aware, it's always been necessary to log in to ModDrop to download any mods? For DSV, you can download from either ModDrop or Github, both sites work

Oh no, this was a separate mod
One map is basically a replacement for the other if the location is changed. I have removed the exit warp from the LK_ClearingHouse one if the other map is to be used and I think that helped (but also my test was flawed and I havent had time to retest it)

my code for handling warps is almost entirely the same
The game has never had an issue as far as I can tell. But the second mod overwrites the exit warp of the first so if your mod is coming in between that it might be tripping?
I override populateRoutesFromLocationToLocationList and exploreWarpPoints, so it executes at the same time the game code would

Yeah, those are the two I'm suspecting are interacting, but even when I switched the config on domestic animals to false for Dusty, it was resulting in two
Content patcher map properties.
I think an extra step needs to be taken tbh. The same way SH has completely disabled the Dusty part of their mod if you have SVE and FreeDusty, I have a feeling they also have to disable it for Dusty Overhaul
(I'm guessing they'll likely do it on a future update)
I can also just set the warps to load based on map properties. I do something similar with Shearwater bridge/ESClearingHouse and it seems fine but that might be cos it adds warps conditionally.
But also it didnt error on my game with SpriteMaster. I have less mods than Yagi.
CP doesn't patch those, so that shouldn't break it

Depends how it's coded. If both are Loading a texture in CP, then neither will work and SMAPI will load the vanilla asset instead. If both are EditImaging the texture, then both will apply but the one that loads first will be overwritten by the one that loads last, unless the second one to load is coded as an overlay, in which case it will apply both and the first won't be overwritten
Ugh, it did not work. It looks like it has compatibility with Free Dusty, but not the Dusty Overhaul mod. I'm going to try editing it for today, but hopefully it'll be compatible in the future

@proven pewter Hello. You said it was okay to message you about HD Portraits. I'm having trouble getting it to replace the Ridgeside Village NPCs. I've even use a template someone else made, but it's just not replacing them. Does the mod with the Ridgeside portraits need to be in the same main folder as HD, rather than a subfolder?

in the first change block, all of your targets are still using portraittemplate, but your editData is pointing HDPortraits to liosCollection
replace portrattemplate with liosCollection
you can just use a replace all in whatever editor you're using

Tractor Mod doesn't show any messages like that. It sounds like one of your mods is showing a test message every time the list of NPCs in the location is changed (e.g. when a tractor is summoned)?

It was Toggle Monsters that was causing these "npc list changed" message spam.

It always loads both because I cannot control that, but one activates when East Scarp is installed (but SVE isnt) and if that is activated it should remove any warp added to connect that map from the LodgingHouse map.

I do not b/c they generally require PyTK and I've p much banished PyTK from my game. Some of them do look cute on first glance though I think ultimately I would hate the incongruity anyway π
I think there was one that didn't require that, but it caused me problems with clothing mods. I was going to try to find it to see if you have it.

You have installed SMAPI. See that Game Path: C:\Program Files [...] thing? That's your Stardew Installation path. Go to that folder.

What was causing it, if you don't mind me asking?
I use a stable priority queue to store nodes for Dijkstra. All nodes were pre-inserted with a distance of int.MaxValue. However, warps/doors can appear in arbitrary order in maps, which is how the game processes them. Since the priority queue is stable, they won't be updated/reordered in the priority queue in the expected order.
If they were A and then B at the start, and later they have the same priority, they will still be A and B, even if in the map they were B and then A
causing a potentially-invalid warp to be used
not that I'm fond of things that are this fragile, but that's not my design :P

@river rapids hello! me and my friend are having problems regarding having multiple pets and their short ids overlapping. i have a custom skin for the cat, but every now and then he changes to a different cat skin, and when i try to change it one of the dogs change. both of the dogs use different skins on screen despite using the same skin id number. we arent really sure whats up with the commas next to the skin id numbers either.

SMAPI only evaluates which mods are installed and not based from saves. if you want, you can have 2 instances of SDV installations with separate mods/no mods. but i wouldnt recommend it.
once a save is loaded only it will then be able to parse all the mods within the save. its trial and error.

Probably different NPC names than the actual name. SVE changes too much, it also changes the NPCs name. I may be talking out of my ass, but that may be the issue.
Magnus = Wizard, MarlonSomething (don't remember), GuntherSomething (don't remember either)
Wizard has the same (internal) name as in vanilla i'm pretty sure, but Marlon is MarlonFay and Gunther GuntherSilvian

Is it possible to add extra locations to your current saves? I had initially wanted to try East Scarp before my current save, but ran into a lot of trouble installing it for some reason. (I think it might've been user error - the sound went completely out, but I don't know if it was the mod or my computer responding to a hotkey).
I'm thinking about trying it again because I don't think I 100% knew what I was doing at the time, but I'm a lot more experienced now with mods.
So yeah, would it be possible? Or would installing a mod that size with extra locations be a bad idea?

Something in the save load menu disagrees with get glam, and that's all we can really get out of this

Hello, I'm currently on windows 10 and Smapi just keeps getting suddenly super slow while loading then completely normal the next day.
The day before i tried some stuff including allowing it through the firewall and it worked just fine but today it's super slow again.

There's a weird game error sometimes where it tries to do something bizarre with accessing files that already exist, only on Macs, but it usually throws a bunch of errors in your log

I have a question about alternative textures.
I have a yellow cabin I think itβs the plank cabin and something about it is giving me graphical glitches when I try and replace it.
I have several packs installed and regardless of which one I have, the replacement is a bunch of lines or just a black square
All of the other items i replace work fine.
My smapi doesnβt appear to have any errors.
Iβve tried with Elleβs seasonal building, Emieβs medieval buildings and now Hudson valley buildings
It appears to be a glitch with all cabins. Iβve tested it on all of them not just the plank cabin.

Though I believe my issues are partially because I'm having a stream running in the background. Which eats up something as well I think?
it could be taking up GPU cycles though SM isn't particularly GPU heavy

Error resolved
Upon closer inspection of the various intersecting mod and staging locations, I realized that I had not wiped the mods folder before reinstalling Vortex and starting to use it to download new ones.
Those mods/folders were all moved over from a different machine and were also very out of date in some cases.
The only error I'm getting now is for UI Infosuit 2.0 and that looks like it's just out of date.

I believe that the issue relates to the fact that even though the sprite is the same for all of the cabins, the upgraded cabins donβt seem to get work the same. I think I can fix it if I know what the naming convention is for the upgraded cabins
If the farmhouse upgrades are farmhouse_0 etc. would Plank_cabin_0 be the correct naming convention?
Running mods on steamdeck, I forced compatibility to Linux and reinstalled everything and got it working π

@oblique jay I am apparently having trouble with Alternative Textures with my farmhand cabins. I have a couple of texture packs, Elleβs seasonal and Hudson Valley. When I try to change the fully upgraded cabins I get graphical glitches where the replacement textures are just a bunch of lines or a black box.
When I try and change one of the non upgraded cabins it works fine. So I tried to make duplicate folders with similar naming conventions to the farmhouse etc log_cabin_0. But that didnβt fix the issue either.
I donβt get SMAPI errors relating to the issue nor do I have problems with any other buildings or objects that I try and change.
Any insight as to what I can do to fix it would be helpful. Thank you.

Your fish tank appears to have the wardrobe interaction menu. I donβt know what could have caused it though
that explains the menu - I couldn't figure out what it was. I tried putting fish in it while using convenient inventory to access - let me see if I can put rings/clothes in there

personally I'd recommend Stardrop over Vortex, since starddrop is made just for stardew and works a whole lot better

Some friends and I are having an issue with a "No available cabins" error whenever one of us except the host tries to join the farm. We've had this file for a while, and even making a new cabin/new save file doesn't fix it. All of the mods seem to be functioning, and the error itself seems to be caused by an "InvalidOperationException" error

sailor styles mod makes my hair selection values go up to 400,000+. Kind of suspicious that it may be because of customize anywhere, but can't be sure

Might be Customize Anywhere, Get Glam, or Hats Won't Mess Up Hair ? I'm not skilled at that tho. I'd take out one, see if that fixes it, rinse repeat until you find it.

that greenhouse is meant to be used with the original Seasonal Japanese buildings linked on the description page b/c the original greenhouse broke with the 1.5 update. Is there any way to dictate which order JA packs load? On my Macbook, with the same modlist that has the same names, it loads them ABCDE, but on my PC it loads them like CABED and I cannot figure out a way to get them to load differently
it shouldn't matter. the ids are assigned on alphabetical ordering of the items and load order shouldn't affect it

Ah alright, I was trying to get the load order to line up so I don't have as bad of json shuffle, as when playing multiplayer on my Mac, it seems substantially better than on my PC.
Might need more trial and error, tho
you could check that the item ids match across the installations with the ja_summary command i guess
if they don't there's probably some difference in the mod setups
i don't know if it happens anymore, but some JA packs that loaded properly on windows didn't always load on macs because of capitalization mistakes (that don't matter for windows)

@flat flax Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).

I installed mods with Vortex into my game a couple months ago, fixed a few errors and it worked fine. I stopped playing the game for a while and recently started playing
it again. I updated SMAPI, the game and all my mods. The game works fine alone without SMAPI or any mods. When I started the game with SMAPI, I got an error saying the game
file was missing, fixed it but now when the game starts it loads to a random point in the loading screen and crashes. I've google the problem over and over and nothing

do you mean it crashes when you try to load a save? that log doesn't seem to have save load, which might be useful if that's the problem
no I don't even get to the options screen, it gets to some point in the pan up of the birds and crashes
