One of them I got early on and upgraded it fully
But the second one I got won’t let me upgrade it
I have 4 Dino’s in it and tried to see if I needed the coop to be full to make it upgradable but it didn’t work

Hi, I asked about this yesterday, but unfortunately nothing worked.

I've been having a lot of trouble with launching Stardew Valley to the point where it's rare for it to work.
When I try, I get an error message from steam about it being unable to sync my files with the Steam Cloud.
And, on the off chance that it works, it never gives me a multiplayer code like it should.

I've been playing co-op with a friend and periodically, she disconnects randomly. Some days it happens more than others and we haven't found any solutions that help. I run the most recent version of SMAPI with only cosmetic/UI mods that don't change the game's code, so it works even though she doesn't have them installed. Is there any niche advice/solution that we should try? It's gets to be really frustrating for her when she disconnects 4-6 times per in-game day.

Myself and a few others have been having some rather crippling issues with streaming the game in recent updates. Issues vary from lingering black screens during alt+tab or the game losing focus, window resizing on its own, but it seems like the worst issue is the 'confetti effect' seen during streams where the whole stream becomes much blurrier and more pixelated as the screen updates, notably at its worst when moving between areas in the game. it makes sense that bitrate-related quality loss would be worse when the whole screen is updating at once, but it has never been this bad. even rolling back to older versions of the game hasn't seemed to help much. thoughts?

Hello everyone, I need something confirmed for me! I have done everything for perfection except my tracker says 129/130 golden walnuts. However, the parrot in Leo’s hut has stopped giving hints… this is an error, right? He is supposed to give hints until the end, correct? I am playing on Xbox co-op (vanilla). We had an issue a month ago where the game crashed, the game file moved to single player, and when I opened it back up the museum had been reset and the dog in center of town was gone again so I had to re-do those tasks. Could we have lost a walnut in that data as well? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

"To fix the "129/130 walnuts" bug on PC, Mac or Linux:

  1. Download SMAPI from http://smapi.io/.
  2. Unzip and run the installer.
  3. Run the game using SMAPI.
  4. A black console window will run alongside the game window. Alt tab to that window and type in:
    debug walnut
  5. It will give you a message saying "There was no output". This is normal. Double check your walnut amount and it should be fixed. You can uninstall SMAPI safely as long as you have saved after doing this."

Not sure if this belongs here: we had an issue with 1 PC and 1 Mac player joining a multiplayer session hosted by one or the other player. We kept getting "Connection Failed" even though we have the option to invite/join each other through steam/SDV. We fixed the error and were able to connect to the game when the host deleted their old save files and relaunched the game. Sorry if this is an already known fix

Hi, I have a problem on my windows that I've found out yesterday night. I don't know if this problem is related to stardew, but I figured I'd check here first. Been playing unmodded stardew with a friend and it appears that no matter who's hosting the game, the other players tend to get disconnected up to twice a day and I have found absolutely no fix for this or why it could be happening

I need some help with I think some resolution and screen problems. I don't know if it has to do with some mods but here is context:I wanted to try out some mods so I did and It didn't feel right so I uninstalled them, when I opened the game, it was way too zoomed out and the UI was hecka small, so I put it on full screen resolution 1920 x 1080 and it looks great, but I hate playing on full screen. The zoom buttons and UI zoom can't zoom enough on borderless window to make it look right.

To put it simply:I hate fullscreen and windowed/borderless windowed look too zoomed out now. I used to play with borderless windowed btw

I have had an absolutely infuriating issue for a long time with crops just randomly vanishing. No lightning, no crows, no dead plant left behind - crops will just be completely gone leaving a blank space. Happens regardless of whether or not mods are installed. I have scoured the Internet and apparently I am not the only one having this issue - and yet, absolutely nobody seems to have any idea what is causing it, and there are no potential solutions to be found anywhere. 😦

Very sad about this because I really want to get back into playing this game again, but this issue just keeps coming up again and again and killing my enthusiasm for doing so...

i use a keyboard shortcut to open the file explorer and it's just a direct reference to the program (spacefm) so it doesn't help much. the game opens an application called "disk usage analyzer" or something like that. i haven't been able to figure out where that association is set, so knowing what the game uses would help

actually i think i got closer to figuring out: after some googling xdg-mime query default inode/directory gave me org.gnome.baobab.desktop which is apparently the "disk usage analyzer". now to figure out how to change it

well, i don't still really know what the game uses, but xdg-mime default spacefm.desktop inode/directory made the game use the spacefm file manager, so it works

So uh... I haven't played for a few years and started a new save/character. On one of the earlier days I entered the Library/Museum and got the cutscene and quest "Archaeology" from Gunther. But due to a mistake I did that on that particular day I exited the game and re-loaded my save, then went to do other things. A few in-game days later I decided to go back and get the quest from Gunther, and now it's not being offered/triggered at all. No cutscene, no quest.. no matter if I'm carrying minerals/artifacts or not. D: Any way to fix this? I'm not using any mods.

Saves on consoles cannot be transferred to other consoles, PC, or mobile. The consoles don't allow access to them so you can't grab them and move them. Consoles of the same type (xbox > xbox, playstation > playstation, switch > switch) will transfer through cloud saves.

There are some instances where you will need to use the compatibility version of the game. Please be aware that SMAPI/game mods are not compatible with this version.

On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.
On GOG: From the game's page, click the settings icon > Manage installation > Configure... > then "compatibility" under the Beta channels dropdown.
