Hi, I've been trying to run the game on my Mac, but every time I press play on Steam it shows the icon for a second on the dock, then closes out and the button on steam turns back to play again

Not technically a bug. Inworld object hitboxes are like a pixel wider than the tile they occupy, allowing you to do that if you aim just right. Been in the game since 1.0.

does restarting the day change the enchantment you get from the forge and if not, what can change the enchantment you get on the forge

Restarting will not change the result. You'll need to enchant a different thing (or use a galaxy soul on a weapon) to refresh the possible outcomes. On the plus side, the last 2 enchantments are remembered on an item and can't be repeated.

hello. i am new to the channel and i am not sure if i am in the right spot. But i had a crashing problem. I am hosting a game and i would lag every now and then but when we get to about a 2 hour mark and when someone does something big like buy a new coop or silo i would freeze like normal. but then the game crashes. the game is on my external. but runs fine on the desktop. one of my friend did say they added a mob. about the time frame it started to do this. but i also updated my graphics card to a new update at the same time.

i do have 2 friend playing with me. one said they had mods at the being when we 1st started. but my other friend was talking about adding a new mod to there game.

yeah, a few of those mods aren't meant to be used by only one player in multiplayer. i think the one causing your issues is most likely Interaction Tweaks and/or Tree Transplant, both mess with robin's menu and you said you were crashing when they tried to build buildings?

the usual things that can interfere with SDV are MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, and antiviruses. double check windows defender if you just did a windows update, even if it's normally off it sometimes turns itself back on at random

check your antivirus to see if it quarantined any SDV files

also this is a really specific problem and most likely not your issue, but i have dual graphics cards on a surface book with faulty connectors, and sometimes it thinks i've detached the screen, tries to swap cards, and crashes any game i'm playing. you could see which graphics card it's defaulting to, i know NVIDIA has an app where you can force certain games to use or not use the NVIDIA card

Not sure if this is the right spot to ask, but does anyone have any obvious advice for getting the mod to work? I installed in last year and it worked fine. I moved the game to my D drive and that broke it, so I reinstalled the latest smapi and then the game loaded. I then removed and reinstalled updated versions of all the necessary mods. It loads Stardew (through the SMAPI shortcut) but then shows my vanilla saves, doesn't list my old exapnded save, and won't let me access the content.

I've been playing on switch these past few days because I couldn't get steam to work

I cleared the launch settings in steam, verified the files, cleared the download cache etc

Would love if anyone has any suggestions as playing on switch just isn't the same 😭

Can someone please help me out? I'm not able to launch SDV on my PC. I originally purchased it last year on steam and had played it vanilla. After a week of playing I downloaded SMAPI and a few mods and played for a bit then took a break from the game. Now i'd like to play V 1.5 but the game will no longer launch.. in attempts to troubleshoot i removed SMAPI and the mods and uninstalled/reinstalled the game but now it just doesnt launch. I'll click play on steam, it looks like its launching, then doesnt and reverts back to the play button. For some reason, after reinstalling the game version still says 1.3.7 which is when i last played the game. Any advive would be great as i'd much rather play on PC over switch

pierre's being closed on tuesday definitely sounds like it could be a bug, but the quest thing is not a bug. when clint asks you to collect ore, the quest requires you to mine the ore, then go talk to clint. you shouldn't give it to him

From a google I found an older issue (may 18th) that had the same fps drop when raining and they said they fixed it by turning off vsync which you've already tried

I went and started a new save, not freezing, but that could mean it's the save too, and not the rain

I'll do some experiments and see if I can reproduce it on a test save

it definitely seems like it's the save, but I also haven't done anything beyond sleep until it rains. I don't know if progress on the farm matters.

ive been having a problem where mayor lewis and marnie's audio keeps getting messed up/corrupted. when i try to talk to marnie, her sprite giggles and makes the coal sprite audio. when i try to talk to lewis, he jumps up scared and makes the bat noise audio. im not sure if mods are causing it or not, i tried launching the game with no mods and their audio was still messed up. ive verified the integrity of my game files on steam in order to fix it but the bug keeps reoccurring

well they definitely do, thats not a problem. The thing is Iam using a windows version on linux (so non-native) for mods and I have to install all of the dependencies with WINE. Perhaps its not a hard process, but iam still new to it

Ok I have been spending forever trying to fix this and I just got it work for me.

I did two things and I'm not sure which fixed it.

First was turning thesee on for GameOverlayUI

But I don't think it was this because I went back and they were off

the second was just turning steam to big picture mode, opening the game, closing it, and turning it back to normal
