okay, some background I guess.. year 2, fall, about day 2. certain building got retro-changed to what it was before, and the bridge to original quarry is broken again. These things were fine in spring and summer. Since I didn't changed anything not even added/updated mods, I think it might be a bug. I have a smapi log and I've already posted in SVE nexus site, cause I figure it could be a place to start, but again I don't know if a mod did it or how to figure out things. @lethal trail I just checked the code-- it looks like it's based on who the host of the game is. so unfortunately unless you start a new game with the other person hosting, you won't be able to swap sides

i have an issue with the stardew valley pc and i cant find any advice online for my issue. i have an older monitor and dont have enough right now to invest in one with a better aspect ratio. my current monitor resolution is 1024x768 and whenever i boot up the game, i either cant see a large portion of the screen, or the menus pile on top of each other in a way that makes text hard to read and parts of the menu inaccessible. ive tried changing from windowed to fullscreen to window borderless and used the zoom out feature as well, but none of it fixes the issues. i really dont know what to do, the only tips online were "just buy a new monitor".

(it looks like it's still compatible?) if you need help installing mods, #archived-modded-support has pinned messages with guides! also, it's possible that the upcoming update might change some things to make split screen multiplayer easier, which could help with your issue

On Steam, as long as you have Steam Cloud enabled (I think it's on by default), your saves will be kept in the cloud and synced between any PCs you play on. Your saves are also available locally if you need to access them (https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Saves). I believe GOG has a similar cloud feature, but I'm not positive.

But the most common is one ending in 0006, which I believe is related to the internet connection. I have reset my router and trust I have the internet for it. It may just be the Switch versions strange servers.

Anyone have any ideas on an issue with loading newly created saves? It creates and puts me in the new farm, but when I exit and attempt to load back in it crashes at the "Loading.." screen

No error, have uninstalled all mods/game numerous times, previous 2 saves from a year ago(pre 1.4) are loading, however all newly created saves crash after exiting the farm.

I came back to SDV after a long time, started a new save with mods.

I was and spent like and hour and they spent hours yesterday
It's very confusing and just dosent add up

Played for a few hours, exited, and attempted to reload the save, it crashed on the black "Loading.." screen

So i removed all mods, uninstalled all SDV files, reinstalled steam and SDV

SDV launches (No SMAPI, no mods, pure vanilla)

I cannot launch any saves i previously made except the two from close to a year ago

Sure, the modded files are crashing too. However, fresh clean install of the game, new save, no mods, still crashing.

i don't have time to screenshare, but adding that i looked at one of jake's saves yesterday and nothing looked immediately corrupted, but i didn't try to load it

(on PC it's normal to have 4 files: farmername_numbers, farmername_numbers_old, savegameinfo and savegameinfo_old)

also, @gilded finch possibly irrelevant question, but what brand/model of PC do you have and does it have dual graphics cards? i have a surface book with dual graphics cards and with some games, it will just CTD at random when my screen tilts a tiny bit and the surface thinks i've disconnected the keyboard, or when it tries to use the wrong card. this used to happen to me a LOT with overwatch and occasionally happens with vanilla SDV but doesn't happen with SMAPI. i have no idea if this is helpful though

I have a custom built, theres a 960 and a 1660ti in it, 32gb ram, i7 processor

The game has run before on it, and runs when creating new save, but exiting that save makes it so i cant get back into it

And considering i can launch my old 2 saves i dont think its a hardware ossue

Soo, having an issue going to sleep, causing the save to not load once exited.

No error log, game just closes out

Seems to be a conflict in my PC creating/Editing the save file but I can't seem to figure out why it's happening. Literally cannot create a new save

i have a question for you. i have just lost a total of atleast 80 hours of game play. i alt tabbed out of the game to use discord, the game froze up, locked up my comp to where i couldn't even end task the program or steam. then when i restarted my comp, i lost my first save file. then i put in another 30 hours, starting over, and it just did it again. i have gone through recovery trouble shooting to try and find my saved game files, and they are just absolutely gone. i do not even have a "Saved game" file in the local files for SDV. basically i am just wondering if there is anything at all that i can do to recover my saves, or at the very least, prevent the loss of saves from happening again. if i can't save my game, and can lose it at any time, the game is not even playable. please help, i love this game.
