Copy the entire PlayerName_632763428 folder and paste it somewhere else on your computer like desktop - that's ur backup

Also, since it's a fairly quick game to load, closing it and starting over is never a bad idea. Stardew can be a tiny bit finicky when you want to start multiplayer

Go to your computer "Sound settings" then chose the output you want.
Everything on your headset or everything on your speakers.
To get on your "Sound settings" just go to the "Search" (if using windows, otherwise i dont know) and write it there.

Playing through steam means setting up the launch options for SMAPI. Launching directly from the exe to play vanilla bypasses the Steam interface. So if you have mods and are running through Steam, that's a SMAPI problem. Controller support doesn't work great bypassing Steam for some reason

I started playing sdv at my cousin's laptop on Thursday, the 1.3 version. now I want to buy the 1.5 version myself and use it on my laptop, but I've already done so much! is there a video on the subject? or maybe a more clear tutorial? I read the section about saves on the wiki but it still seems a bit foggy, even though it's clear what I have to do now.

Well, 1.5 isn't out yet, 1.4.5 is the current version. However, saves on previous versions will work fine on the latest version of the game. I'm not sure if anyone's made a video about it you could certainly search on youtube. It's really just using the wiki to find your current save, then copying the entire folder to your computer.

I've followed instructions on the wiki to transfer saves from my old android phone to my new Android phone. The old save folders and files are in the Stardew alley folder but when I open stardew then the load game screen says it can't find any games. Am I missing a step?

Hi, I'm getting an instant crash on launch. This was without smapi and any mods. I installed smapi and transferred all the mods from my laptop (stardew works fine there) onto my new pc and it seems somethings wrong with XNA 4.0 but I can't figure out the issue. Hello, I have a simple question. After I launched Stardew Valley through steam w/ SMAPI, I noticed in the console it says "[game] Oops! Steam achievements won't work because Steam isn't loaded. So i wanted to load my previous save into multiplayer, and have found a way to do so. BUT my friend has a notorious way of duping on saves and ruining such saves, so i tried to copy the save into a seperate folder. when i try to load the save it just reloads the game. so i thought it might be because the character name is the same, so i went through all of the 4 .txt files for that save renaming the character to [previous name]2. but it still reloads the game. is there a way to duplicate a save sort of like a backup?

You can check to see if it's turned on at all in the Steam client, by right clicking on the game. If it is, are you seeing a pop up when loading the game about file mismatch?

this is for vanilla game support. if you can recreate the crash in vanilla, then it's not a mod problem
