Hi, quick question about secret notes. I’ve been playing multiplayer with the SVE mod plus a few smaller mods, and I’m not the host. The mods might not be relevant to my question.
Both the host and I got the cutscene where we received the ||magnifying glass||, but after the scene it was not in my character’s wallet, and I‘ve been unable to find secret notes. It worked fine for the host.
Is there a tag I can add or edit in the game save file to fix this? Or any other solution would be welcome. Let me know if this is a better question for #archived-modded-support. Thanks!
Update: I just changed the second <hasMagnifyingGlass> in the save file to “true” and it fixed it. Guess I should’ve started there.

I only found any info about my character in my MP host's save game file on the their computer. But I am no expert here and obviously there is something on my computer that lets me connect.

I don't think you can take a farmer out of a multiplayer game. You might just have to start from the beginning.
Since the game is hosted by someone else, all the 'info' for any farmers is probly wrapped up with that particular save file?
That'd be my guess at least.

If you can't, then you can use CJB cheats, item spawner and time skipper to quickly get back to your old progress

ok so i'd like to report a bug that has been tested with crunch7, and the bug is basically the incubator isn't working and is infinitely processing and the egg will not hatch. this is with a dino egg but idk about the rest of the eggs.

I actually got the zoom level keybinding working with its unlimited zoom
Just need steam overlay to scale properly, but thats probably a Manjaro or steam HiDPI issue

Alright, so ive done a little bit of looking and findling around with my stuff, and i think i know why stardew is the way it is for me, which is that the windowed mode is tied to resolution, which for me is 3200x1800 on a 13.3 screen, in fullscreen 1920x1080 it just fine, but windowed it isnt

You can change the resolution in full screen and it should stay when changing back into windowed mode. You may need to change it each play session @wide lynx

If they're spawned bushes rather than part of the map, you can remove them by editing the save file.

Hey, I had my save game file disappear. It did an endless 'saving' screen so I shut it down and restarted. Now the 'load' screen doesn't list that farmer. Here's my smapi log https://smapi.io/log/dbecef03264143b29750b56b41186e21 Also, I tried going to the save file and removing the _old and then _STARDEWVALLEYSAVETMP extensions...but I still don't see my farmer. I restarted my computer too....anyone have any other suggestions?

If you use smapi it auto backs up your save files
Should be a folder in your stardew folder called something like ‘savesbackup’

Found my solution, turns out that Manjaro will save the volume control if i set it to 50% instead of 100% (or kde, whichever does it, probs kde)

Ah. Well, I tried what Lumina suggested and it didnt seem to work. GUI elements still missing.
I tried to hard reset and just deleted the content file and let steam reinstall. Trashcan, Quick Stack to chest, and Four Corners buttons still MIA. They are still interactable tho.

I have problem that when i want to start new host game on co-op and then i invate my friends, then they get "Connection failed" message in game and they cannot join my game. Hi everyone! I'm having an issue with Map Image Exporter. It tries to render the image of my farm and then gets caught in a loop and never renders. I was gonna play stardew, but the save I had loaded on another computer was on like day 21 of winter, but when I tried to load it on the one I’m using now it was on the 4th.
Now that I think about it, I just shut the computer off instead of closing the game and then doing so.

You should be able to use the _old save file then to go back a day

inside, you should see a set of files with and without _old at the end
just rename the new one to "temp" or something like that
and then rename the _old one to not have _old at the end

You might as well keep the "newer" file that you renamed around, yea
saveGameInfo doesn't really matter, it only affects what shows up on the load game screen

if you don't change it, then it will show the incorrect info on the load game screen, but when you click it it will load the correct save file

So my dog is over there by the green house, but there's a second one blocking that little path down from the shrine, has been there for two seasons now and getting really annoying. It was originally my dog and he moved, two days later it was back.

I have a couple content patcher mods but they are only inside the farmhouse. The bathroom and no kids decor mods.
My error log has been coming back completely empty for a while now, maybe it's related.

I don't think so. I used to be able to walk through that area, I only put the fish pond there because there is that little path, and for quite a while now I can't. if I can't axe said annoying tree, perhaps I'll try a bomb on it.

I've never had an issue with the whole horses can't fit in one block gaps thing. I keep reading about it but I haven't found anywhere I wanted to ride that I couldn't, yet.
