For location it's where you sleep at. Example would be inside the farmhouse or bus stop

Four Corners has the disadvantage of its walls making it take longer to get through. It's huge, so that's actually a meaningful issue until you can afford speed food every day plus the horse

The walls thing isn't a problem in co-op since you can just leave the more distant sectors to another player, who presumably has their house there.

Wilderness is the first with an actual meaningful plantable-tile advantage over Forest. Its specialty is close to meaningless though...
