Rn there's a map that expires in an hour or two. The scroll works in a specific way. You find the pages based on what you read last. But if you're in an area that doesn't contain the pages you will only receive what you read last. Scrolls content only changes based on the environment you're on. It doesn't actually have a set page. Meaning it'll give you the same pages based on which one you read last. You can find the current scroll at the camp in the shore. Read 4 of those scrolls then die to get to the next game. Make sure to hit inspect to actually read it. Then 3 other games make it to the middle of the Alpines and open the scroll. For the last game make it to the middle of the Caldera region and open it again. You'll get the achievement.

Every game a new scroll comes up. If you play it all the way through you'll be wasting time. You have to die every time you go to shore campfire for 4 games. Then die after you go to the Alpines for 3 after carrying the scroll with you and reading it there. Then die a last time at Caldera or climb all the way to the top since the achievement is done

My understanding was that vulkan was more for older/lower spec PCs. Always best to go DX if it's an option though.
If DX is running rough- then try Vulk.
