Beta Branch 0.2.a 🛠️

Patch Notes:

  • Fixed missing backpacks at campfires
  • Fixed flares so they don't spawn on ascent 4
  • Fixed Push-To-Talk disabling itself on every loading screen
  • Made Invite Only host mode the default
  • Fixed offline mode hanging sometimes
  • Fixed passport character looking dark
  • Fixed Scoutmaster achievement
  • Fixed an issue where a variety of effects (such as infinite stamina from the Lollipop) wouldn't trigger if you were carrying an unconscious scout

BETA Patch v0.10.c

Hey scouts, we have another patch live now on the Beta branch of the game! This patch has POLISH AND TURKISH translations as well as many heavily-requested bugfixes.

As always, the beta branch is not guaranteed to be stable but your bug reports help us guarantee stability for when the update is live for real.

OPTIONS:
Badge_FirstAid Polish and Turkish translations are in!
Badge_FirstAid New Setting: "Climbing Extra Field Of View". This lets you adjust how the FOV changes while climbing.
Badge_FirstAid New Setting: PUSH TO MUTE. This works the opposite way of "Push To Talk." No more having to listen to your streamer friend talk to chat.
Badge_FirstAid Settings that were previously hidden outside of the Main Menu will now show up but be disabled. Hopefully this reduces some confusion!

BALANCE CHANGES:
Badge_Bugle Fixed an issue where Trail Mix, Granola Bar, and Airline Food would not give extra hunger reduction after cooked.
Badge_Bugle Fixed an issue where cooking something Well-Done and then stashing it would remove the buffs. For reference, the intended behavior is that Well-Done items give the same bonus as Cooked items. It's your warning before it burns :)
Badge_Bugle Remedy Fungus now also cures poison, because it seems like it would.

MAJOR FIXES:
Badge_Peak We have a temporary solution to the FALL DAMAGE BUG where you would take a signifcant amount of fall damage when falling a short distance, often from spamming the climb and lunge buttons.

I say temporary because, well, time zones are tricky between Team Aggro Crab and Team Landfall and sometimes we need to put a bandaid on an issue that someone on the other side of the world is better equipped for. Please let us know if this improves things or if its still bad!

Badge_Peak THE NAPBERRY PLANT IS TEMPORARILY DISABLED. Folks were having issues with lag and crashes due to our implementation of the Napberry Plant. Trust me its a weird one. While we work on a better implementation asap, the Napberry Plant won't show up in the level.

Badge_Peak Performance at the PEAK is greatly improved. It was the dang wildflowers.

Badge_Peak Fixed an issue where an item would get stuck in your "Hands" Item Slot. This issue happens when the server can't keep up with items that are swapped too rapidly, so a tiny delay has been added after swapping items before you're able to pick up a new item.

MINOR FIXES:
Badge_Mushroom Fixed an issue where pausing and un-pausing in Offline Play would cause you to fall off a vine.
Badge_Mushroom You can no longer get the Bookworm Badge by simply reading the final page without the others.
Badge_Mushroom Fixed an issue where reading the guidebook pages out of order could result in inconsistent stat tracking for the Bookworm Badge.
Badge_Mushroom Removed an un-spatialized sound effect that would play when players landed from a fall.
Badge_Mushroom Fixed an issue where Ticks counted as berries toward the Foraging Badge, lol.
Badge_Mushroom Fixed an issue where an item in the temporary slot would display the wrong amount of Cooked.
Badge_Mushroom Fixed an issue where eating a Scorchberry wouldn't contribute toward the Forager Badge.
Badge_Mushroom Fixed an issue where getting an Anti-Rope Cannon wouldn't get you the Esoterica Badge.
Badge_Mushroom You can no longer obtain progress achievements (such as Beachcomber Badge) while you are a ghost. Reaching a new area while alive should grant you achievements for all the areas completed that run.

A new patch is live on 0.26.a Beta with some experimental features!

Patch Notes

Badge_Peak The Lava Rises again in THE KILN. Admittedly, we didn't fix the issue with it--but since we weren't able to reproduce the issue on our end, we figured it would be helpful to put it back up and get more reports in. If the lava becomes desynced for you, please send us a video or logs!

Badge_Peak Photosensitive Mode has been added.

It changes the following:

Dynamite, Flare, and Scout Cannon lit fuse effects are less flashy,

Screenshake is lessened,

Bright lights from the dynamite explosion are disabled.,

Fullscreen VFX from taking various sources of damage are less intense and more gradual.

If you have any other suggestions for this mode, please let us know!

Badge_Peak DX11 has been added as an option on startup for your Graphics API. For folks with issues with graphics on Vulkan or DX12, try this and report back on whether or not it's more stable!
