Okay so, it's been a wild time since launch. PEAK managed to exceed our expectations of player count and hype by like... a lot. We just hit TWO MILLION COPIES SOLD in 9 days. Insane. We seriously cannot thank you enough for all the love and support we've had on this game. We're addicted to laughing at all the TikToks, posts, and Twitch streams - so please keep tagging us in them - it really hypes us up.
There's an abundance of ways we would like to say thank you, but I think the best way we could do that is by sharing with you all what's next:

⚠️ Some Disclaimers:
We will not be sharing exact details yet on what we're looking to add to these updates. it's very early stages but we have been noting down as many of the suggestions that we've received from the community as we can. We won't be able to do all of them, but we're excited to see what we bring to PEAK! We're still prioritizing bug fixes and stability first so don't expect a huge content update right away.
We just know that the community is excited to see what we'll do next, and so are we! Possible updates might range from quality of life features to new content and all the funny additions that we wished to make real from the start.

We don't know how many major updates we're planning either. Since we're 2 studios who have other projects to work on, and neither of us being live service studios - we'll continue to update you on any news as we go. The last thing we want to do is promise any features that we can't make a reality.

Hi everyone! You might have noticed an EULA appear when launching PEAK - this is to help us collect crash reports to help address and investigate these issues more easily.
There was an oversight on our end about Anti-Cheat in the EULA. We have no intentions or plans to ever add Anti-Cheat to PEAK. We will remove that section from the EULA asap, sorry about that!

Hi Scouts! So, let's talk about stability. The sheer number of people playing this game means that we're often hearing about hardware or network-specific issues that our internal testers have a lot of trouble catching because, well, there aren't 100,000 of them. Recently this resulted in a patch going live that made a number of players totally unable to play the game, and we had to roll it back immediately. That's bad.
To help with stability of future major patches, we're going to be opening up a public beta Steam branch. This will allow anyone who wants to play with new, possibly unstable features to do so safely, and report issues to us before they go live to the greater community.
HOW TO GET ON THE PUBLIC BETA TESTING BRANCH:
**IMPORTANT: **
PLEASE include the fact that you are playing on the beta branch before reporting any bugs, and use the appropriate channel which is #1389839916623593555 !! If you report a beta bug as if it's a main branch bug, you'll make our lives a LOT harder and we will send the scoutmaster after you!!!!! Regular bugs go in #1371455169098678292

We've fixed some largely reported bugs such as the Flying Disc badge and hopefully improved the fps and performance issues in the mesa! That being said, we're still investigating other existing bug reports, so here's clarity on some major reports we're looking into right now:
The lava rising in THE KILN has an issue where it is desynced across players. We've disabled this feature until we find a solution!
We are investigating the issue where some player’s screens turn green-tinted or black. If you have info on this, please let us know in #1371455169098678292 !
We are investigating other bugged achievement issues

Since the launch of PEAK, cooking has been a pretty weird mechanic. In our quest to make it so everything can be cooked, we didn't stop to think if everything should.
🌭 A lot more non-food items will now Actually Do Something when cooked. If it seems like a good idea to set something on fire, give it a try!
🌭 Cooked usable but non-food items such as bandages will no longer grant Extra Stamina.
🌭 Cooked poisonous berries will now be safe to eat. You still cannot cook the poison out of mushrooms.

You might've seen that mysterious statue on the shore the past few days. Some of you thought it would finally give purpose to the mysterious gem and well... nope that thing is still absolutley useless.
The statue will now be holding a bugle, which you can choose play after spawning on the shore. Blowing the bugle will start your very own BBNO$ CONCERT FOR THIS WEEKEND ONLY! Check out the announcement trailer:

We've seen you all rejoice but sadly you don't get to keep it! We prefer cosmetics referencing creators to be temporary but we hope you took enough screenshots and recordings to remember the incredible event! We're pretty sure some nifty modders can make it come back for those who want it hint hint

We just updated the game with some holiday cheer! You'll find the airport lobby is looking a little more festive BUT THAT'S NOT ALL...
These last 6 months have been life-changing, and we're so happy you've all been on this journey to the peak with us.
The team will be taking a well-deserved holiday break to rest up and be with our loved ones, so this is the last content patch of the year. We have a couple of cool things in the works for 2026 but we do want to be transparent with the fact that the frequency of patches and updates will be slower.
As you all know, we've always said that we're not turning PEAK into a live service game, and that is still true. Doing frequent updates with a team of just a few people takes it's toll, we've been running on pure adrenaline and hype for the last couple of months, and both Aggro Crab and Landfall also have two separate studios to keep running alongside Landcrab! So keep an eye out on both studios for new projects too ;)
That said, don't worry - there will be more PEAK in the future! Updates may just take a little longer.

No, not actually kick them physically - this is a friendly game! But hosts can now kick other players from the lobby if they misbehave. We've also made fixes to the connection and reconnection issues, and we hope it will function better now.
