I've added align and float parameters to the video template. align allows it to be aligned center or right, default is left. Alternatively, you can use float so the text wraps. float will act as a boolean (any value = true) if align is defined, and use that value for the position instead.
So: float=right is the same behaviour as thumb in an image
align=center will put it in the center of the screen.

We had a discussion some time ago here on Discord and basically came to conclusion that the traits (same as occupations, skills, items, and basically everything else that isn't proper noun) should stay lowercase if in sentence and made an exception to page names and lists (including see also). It should be pretty much documented in https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Help:Style_guide#Capitals but I get it's fuzzy.
I changed my mind several times, and wasn't sure about traits but I think @digital helm reafirmed me that traits also belong there

Not easy to identify tbf. If interested, there's a file called PrintMediaDefintions.lua which has brochures PrintMediaDefinitions.Brochures and PrintMediaDefinitions.Fliers. These strings are used in the key for the file name which is defined in Print_Media_EN.txt.
yeah it has a description but its pretty vague
I was having a second though about compression actually recently, on one hand I know that I've spent a considerable amount of time compressing them back then, but in the end they don't really make things faster that much. Even less if we decide to go webp (or JPEG-XL if it ever get browser support) at one point anyway.
Besides, since the wiki keeps an archive of each version on the server, it's only loading it's first time (and the rest is cached), not sure if even on icon-heavy pages like Items optimized ones make a huge difference on page loading time either.
The point is that while the compression is lossless, the benefit is having icons 1 to 1 to what's ingame, easier to compare, easier to upload, and mediawiki will detect duplicates.
I've also been thinking whether the compression would affects PZ itself, but I think the effect would be noticable only on very slow hard drives; maybe steam deck running PZ off a slow microsd card (since file sizes are smaler)? The file size difference would affect size on Steam, which would be handy for devices like 64 GB steam deck though.
I doubt I'll do it anytime soon, but technically it'd be possible to make a benchmark replacing .pack file (or loose icons) and comparing, would make a fun experiment 😄

The version category is something that irks me still 🤔 I do add the missing ones for non-English, as they are requested, but I get a feeling we add and remove them. I think we had discussion with @digital helm about them back when Vibrance was there, and you weren't around? I wanted to rename "Version" to "Builds" too; maybe the whole tracking could be rethinked so we can add the number of pages to "update" to https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Category:Site_maintenance so they'd be easier to see at glance?

We didn't change to "Builds" because it was too specific. Version allows for not just "builds" but all versions. E.g. if we had a test branch again, it's not any "build", but it's still a version of the game. Also separates it from official stuff with wiki maintenance stuff. So you don't get people to start adding the page "Build 42.10.2" to the "Build 42" category.
I can look at tracking the number of pages. A couple of ideas come to mind
Just keep in mind that table was automatically generated, so if it were to be updated, changes would be overwritten 😄 but I'd leave it for now. I had the same idea when doing it originally. Might be able to modify the script to include the images, if there's even any need to automatically update it

Ok, did the same with the fliers page now. Yeah, I remember that is was automatically collecting it, but not sure when was the last run, since we were missing stuff already 😬 . It would be good to have the script updating it again, since I can see by the lua script that there will be more fliers coming (with is awesome)

It was only a one-time run to generate the content, which was added manually. I hadn't set up my bot to actually update it on the wiki. I'll look at doing that once I'm done with what I'm currently working on

The game tries to use US spelling, etc. but sometimes misses things. If public services is the normal term, then Pat may want to use it
Style guide could be clarified. This point alone makes it seem like we use US all the time, even if the game uses something else. But we only use US as the preference because the game uses US
American English should be used when possible. While core The Indie Stone developers are from the UK and some old or internal item names can still be in British English, the game takes place in the US and American English was chosen the default language for the game and the wiki.

Based on my experimental findings as well, I'd also say they're hard-coded to spawn in some locations
for every such spawn location, all possible basement options are added to a list and a random one is picked from the list to be placed at that location

item models are stored as X and FBX files. They're in the models_X folder. You'll need 3D modelling software like blender. There's a bit of a guide here https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Help:Style_guide#Models file names are fairly strict, but in most cases this is just the WorldStaticModel value in the item scripts

Listing non-English pages should be fine, since if they're missing on non-English pages, they'll be missing on English too. So uploading the model image would remove it for all languages
So it's a little pointless to create a separate category for each language with this imo

I think it'd be fine to me. They all function the same, except the large and rabbit foot. You have a few common ones (profession) then rarer ones (traits), making the really rare ones special.

A large key ring can only spawn on a prison guard zombie near a prison variant of Franklin Valuline (6-seater). If the zombie spawns with a key ring, there is a 0.5% chance it will be a large key ring.

but shouldn't they all use uniform system for that? Be it old or new? I think having coords readable without going through converting them would make modifying them (modding) easier, too. And having them unified would skip having to keep two pieces to handle that in code (nothing meaningful, but would make a slightly clearer code in game) IMHO

I'ma start updating some of the occupation pages, I got a question though, can I change all the points values for em? Cause I feel like it can be super misleading how we say something like veteran is "-8 points" cause if I'm some player, that sounds to me like it costs only 8 points, when that's actually how much points you'll have left if you didn't select any traits.
Cause these point values seem like they'd just be constantly misleading new players into thinking veteran only costs em 8

Okay, took me a while, but I finally finished scouring and added all missing posts and updated existing ones from 2011 website, up to the first one from 2013 website which is https://pzwiki.net/wiki/New_site!_Woo!
A lot of them were minor news that were present at all on the new website, and I added some uncategorized modding and community posts as Calvy's script didn't pick these, as well as stuff from IndieDB. Nothing was posted on Facebook till late 2013 so that saved me trouble looking there, but was quite a task nevertheless cycling through all that and finding missing images from any of these sources lol (some are still missing).
I will have to go back and add sources and categorize some images, maybe will add 2011 and 2013 web archive links too, now that I added them, to link originals, which I outlined in https://pzwiki.net/wiki/PZwiki:Project_History#Blog_posts basically.

Fixed it. I was in the middle of writing "I have no idea how to fix this" until I thought of something 😄 It's a bit silly that this happens at all, and I still don't understand why. # is only supposed to create a numbered list if it's on a new line, but there's already a non-breaking space before it... The solution was to add a zero width space before # ... something to do with the several layers of parsing mediawiki does is my guess

I would be inclined to believe the mod but ok
stress and unhappiness from stripping corpses is affected by cowardly(200%) and brave(50%)
hemophobic gives stress based on how bloody the corpse is
desensitized prevents you from getting any kind of stress or unhappiness from that action
the way it's determined is if the container you are looting has the codename of inventorymale or inventoryfemale
so yes, human corpses count
grapple effectiveness also true
You can never be sure
the code responsible for this is in Lua anyway
so it doesn't take a lot to figure that out
grapple effectiveness is in Java though

Not sure if anyone else agrees but should we make a seperate category in the navbox for removed traits/occupations? I feel as if it'd look neater that way rather than just having a bunch of removed traits and occupations next to ones that are in the game.

@languid kayak finally decided on an icon for the "body part". I've gone with the shield icon to show that it's related to protection. Now I'm thinking the column positions might need to change.

I think I was the one moving them back to avoid too many sections in items, but that may not be relevant anymore, now that we will have to split navboxes anyway

Cause we know guaranteed now that ingame Knox Country isn't one county, it's a collection of counties. Since you've got the Meade County police cars, the Bulletin County police cruisers etc

Since West Point Gun store is now called Stendo's Firearms Emporium, the radio advert should be changed
And this advert overall is, by name, referencing location that does not exist in the game, since the West Point Gun store(now Stendo's Firearms Emporium) is just a gun store with no range or hunting supplies
There are three Gun Ranges, one in Louisville(Valley station), one in Irvington(Irvington Gun Club) and one in Echo Creek(Guns Unlimited), which is nowhere near West Point plus only one of them can be called "Hunting Center"
Id like to note that the game has some issues with calling regular gun stores "Hunting Supplies"
A.A Ron Hunting Supply is just a regular gun store with nothing to do with hunting, apart from selling guns and ammo ig
