no, because each world is randomly generated to a certain degree. As far as I know the island shapes and general layout of POIs are the same, but then you get random versions of each type of POI and random terrain and resource spawns, plus the position of the islands on the map is totally random

Never used the rapier, or any one handed weapon for that matter. A lot of folks say you should get good at perfect blocking/parying. i personally use two handed weapons and just learn their movements to dodge

I've been running a build with dueling saber, flibustiers gear, damage and stamina talents, stat points into agility and stamina, and then the food agility+vitality buffs plus elixir of cruelty. I died a couple of times before I got his moves down, but parrying with that setup becomes pretty powerful if you get the timing down.

Playing on a dedicated server dodging out of the way of an incoming attack definitely feels more reliable. Parrying I think is affected a lot by even tiny amounts of latency jitter. I always seem to end up regular blocking, or taking it to the face.

I'm pretty tanky and use the Plague Halberd and use reliable musket to pull range. Also use the Trackers set as it buffs the plague halbard heals and also gives 15% dmg resistance. I switch between the two weapons above and the plague pistol and sword. Using the talents and stats n food I can handle anything the game throws at me. I enjoyed doing a mace build before, a rapier/pistol build, and a blunderbuss build. It is totally worth it for you to experiment and play with different sets n builds to find whats fun for you. What you enjoy the most will be what you want to learn to optimize.

Yeah, Dash is such a good defensive, where as block can be very punishing. Failing a dash is no way near as punishing as failing a block. Dash also repositions you which is a major advantage

note though, that world progress, in a way, doesnt carry over, so in the new world while you will have completed chests and quests, you wont have explored where they happen, so your world map will start blank. This can be somewhat problematic if you are used to counting on quests to lead you places, because you wont have the quest markers to guide you.

MP should be played with friends, but is otherwise pretty close to the same game as playing solo. Not recommended to play with randos

I'd like them to reduce the excessive physics on falling trees. Just let them land and maybe bounce a little. I had once instance of chopping a tree that was too close to another and it got catapulted into my face, nearly killing me. Falling tree collision and damaging other trees needs fixing too. Sometimes it works, and sometimes they don't even fall because other tree branches hold them up.

They can not be placed if their radius overlaps. They can get close enough to aaallllmoooosstt touch. Also their radius is a sphere, so you can eventually place one far up in the air.

I discovered bonfires base radius has a height limit. At some point, if you are building too high, it won't access supplies from your chests and you'll have to have them in your inventory to keep building.
