Dont be afraid to lower the difficulty. The game should be fun, not punishing and frustrating. I do feel like its balanced around multi-player not single player as well with the number of mobs you are expected to fight at once sometimes

No, when you select your character and it goes to the world select screen click edit and you can adjust the difficulty. It won't do anything to your progress

When he throws bombs, run until you’re just out of range (the bomb symbol turns from bright white to slightly dim). If he flashes red, dodge.

Best tactic though is for sure to learn to parry him, it’ll make him fall to his butt for a few seconds and you can get a lot of hits in.

EHHH somewhat, but you kinda take that hit when you are trying to do hybrids. Goes with the theme, but kinda get the 1 shot off, then 2 more right behind it you kinda make up the damage from the weird stat pool. Plus if your at the point where you at lvl 15 gear...most things outside of the final boss isn't really going to survive.
