I think boarding ships in the game is good however jumping the gap is not as smooth. somethign that could be cool is once the hooks finalized their animation maybe ramps can appear or even better, rope could drop out form the mast to allow for intection of a quick swing across the ships.

Okay. Since most people don't know. Player "skills" are kinda "borked" there was likely an oversight or something but they scale ADDITIVELY and not multiplicably. You should always prioritize item level over skill upgrades

Yeah, I played a few games that had that as a feature but it didn't debuff damage it just made everything the crew on the ship did weaker.

Be sure to watch your stamina - food is a bonus. Dash is a control + dbl tap in direction you want to move. Also if you using a weapon with parry - even if out of stamina - if you time the block at moment of attack you can still parry. The / key hides UI for screen shots. Have fun with your builds - try different gear pieces n weapons, talents - you can respec them anytime. Poi's and Quest are your source of xp so exploration is a biggie.

Oh, I"m aware. I have a few, they're very very rare given how many trees I've cut down, and the Ficus at least, gives 1 wood no matter how long I let it grow. I'd say tree seeds need to be more common and the tree it grows needs to be the same as a natural tree as far as harvesting, wood dropped, and garuntee a return seed (just one to replant). That way we can actually make renewable lumber that doesn't involve running over barrels in the ocean 😄

combat in this game is probably one of the weakest parts its so unintiuitive. nothing feels greater than being punished for attacking first but oop for some reason the enemy decided to not stagger and hit you through your attack that will always guarantee a stagger on you

Cannon balls do dmg to ship hull not sails, the shot is to just put holes in sails to slow the enemy or stop it so you can rip it to pieces with cannon balls 🙂

There is a slider to give a larger body type, but it's somewhat limited and the pants and stops stay on so no one knows what's going on under our clothes, so identify however you prefer.

Depending on what you fighting some take more hits - also shot has to be closer to hit effectively and you will see you are hitting it. The effect is there but it is not instant - takes a good many shot in most cases unless you land good hits - gets easier with more guns like on Frigate.

depends on how good pocket pair publishing is partly. if they are like paradox, the game will have 25 DLCs, never get bug fixes or qol updates, fall into a state of disrepair and abandonment with modders trying to patch bugs, and eventually be taken down from steam fixed 5 years later and resold for full price to people who owned the old version.
