Sorry if it came across that way. Ship combat can be hard of course, especially since you’re on your own usually vs at least 2 ships. I can recommend running away from their aggro range as they will stop chasing you eventually, upgrading your ships hull plating at the shipwright or turning down the damage multipliers in the world settings. That should make naval combat much more enjoyable.
