Could anyone give me some advice maybe I'm missing something but is there a fast way to collect building materials? As it's the only thing I'm finding difficult/ hard to enjoy is spending hours cutting down trees for them not to grow back and having to go further and further out any tips it advice is appreciated

In the alpha you could grow plenty of trees and bushes, it was probably the one thing that was readily available to replant over anything else. Also you can hire a farmer and have them focus on a specific thing to grow.

Farming and planting of seeds are behind systems not attached to the demo. fishing, gunpowder recipe - much comes behind the first boss. turning any of those systems on would crash the demo as they tied to other content not in demo.

(It's a demo so of course it's still a little bit simple) Devs are most likely going to add more to it as they have talked about a wind mechanic before. it's best to try it out yourself. the demo is about 4-6h long. If you have any questions people here are always willing to help.

well things i would love to see in a game like this is a fun sailing system with dynamic weather and legit massive waves. progressive gearing system weather that is the usually rarity system or something more along the lines of blacksmithing and tempering gear for improvements. fun base building and plenty of different resources and uses for said resources. also letting basic building parts aka foundations and walls allowed to clip would be super nice played a couple that didn't allow that and makes making cool stuff in certain zones terrible.

There are many build sets, full sets. No full build set in Demo. Also new pieces not in those full sets were added in Early Access that we didn't have - awesome cool pieces. As far as clipping - you can turn snapping on/or off and clip and free place already in demo. You can lock degree angles and different build perspective in build mode pressing Q. Many resources for those buildings are in the game already. Lot cool stuff coming.

Demo will run until Early Access and demo is ruffly only about 5% of what will be in Early Access. Explorable area of Archipelago in demo is only about 2.5% of what will be in Early Access. Early Access will be announced in the #news when it is time. See the latest post here ⁠│announcements⁠ from Yar_Master. As far as price and packages, that will most likely follow Early Access Release info. Also, characters, items and buildings will not transfer to the Early Access, it is part of the demo – different client, different game builds. So enjoy playing the demo for now until that time

In Soulmask - your workers could go get resources to craft, and then return resources after to the correct storage, etc. In Windrose Alpha back in summer of 2025, the crew you'd assign to go gather resources for a period of time. They didn't craft like in Soulmask. However, no clue where that will go going forward - if you look at our current crafting stations you may notice something 🙂 So will have to see what they do with that 🙂

As far as price and packages, that will most likely follow Early Access Release info. Also, characters, items and buildings will not transfer to the Early Access, it is part of the demo – different client, different game builds. So enjoy playing the demo for now until that time

Your ship has two hot bar items, one is chains for taking out sails, the other canon balls for taking out the haul. Although either will do some damage to either. The aim is a white ark you want to position the tip of that on the ship or where you anticipate the ship will be and then fire. It's fun. You have to make three mods for your ship, one is the guns, one is armor, one is the strength of the boarding party. When the ship signals defeat, you come up along side it and hit space bar to start boarding then wait for your crew to go over. You going over can be...optional. ish. Depending on the strength of the crew and the boat you attacked but I think everyone jumps over. Some people jump over way to...what's the word I am looking for...without thought or strategy LOL. And then put a thumbs down on a steam review because boarding is too "hard" and they die.

Through Steam and other 3rd party companies You can host dedicated servers that never shut down. For example I host a 7 days to die server that all of my friends connect to and as long as my computer is running and steam CMD is running that servers never shuts down

You can PURCHASE dedicated server hardware for a price from a data center through some services, but those are not affiliated in any way with STEAM nor with the developers of this game. I have just completed the Dodo Challenge and got the notification that I completed it, but I did not recieve the Dodo Head Trophy and it is not acknowledged in the Discovery list under Other Resources where it should be. Is this a New Bug as I had gotten it in an earlier previous saved game.

Keep killing them. Now that you got the achievement, it's a low drop percent to get a head. You'll get the heads over time.

it's pretty simple how much grind do you want in your games? high, medium, low etc. we can disagree here.

• I want the ability to get a dodo head before i even unlock the blueprint.
• In order to do this you need to move the drop to regular dodos.
• This makes sense because the dodo head isn't even colored blue when placed.
• It makes sense because you are encouraging players to attack another similar mob, rather than always ignoring it entirely.
• there is no challenge to killing the azure dodo, so the challenge really comes in finding them. but by the time you unlock 3 islands you can just run across the islands and kill like 30+
• If the rng is 2% on azure, you can make the rng 0.05% on regular dodo, as an example.
