Not surprising, good combat can overshadow a lot of systems like last oasis but bad combat especially gun combat people will just go play csgo or rust or planetside 2 etc

The pvp doesn't exist. Occasionally you'll get jumped by 2+ people. Or its griefing,ie a big guild with the means to have carriers goes around stealing thropters feeding people to worms.

In the rare occassion you get a decent fight,its super fun.

PvP is rarely ever forces running directly at each other to just stand and bang until one side wins, it's always about opportunistic attacks and picking the fight when you have the advantage

but there's also virtually no point in PvPing in Dune, also crazy easy to escape

just go max altitude and feed thopter fuel cells, its very hard to shoot up, and render range is only 400 meters, so you can lose someone in about 5 seconds

You joined talking crazy. Typically not the best way to start the conversation. Steam gives keys randomly to people that signed up via steam. Streamers have been given keys to give away, and the devs randomly drop some keys here in the discord. There are ways to get the keys, but Demanding them seems like the tougher road.

Yeah, my only recommendations for Tortuga buys are the ship and the backpack. The backpack has 5 more slots than a fully upgraded bag.

I'm no games developer but it makes sense to me that a small team like this would have a variety of goals with a test like this and "marketing" the game is probably lower on the list than you might guess. They want to make sure the game works. They want people to put it on their Wishlist. They're not ready to sell it, but they've hit some milestones that mean they think they've got a successful launch on the horizon.

Haha yeah. I’ve seen so many people come in here angry like they feel they are owed access. The devs are obviously trying to get people in but the demand is massive.

since you joined the Discord 5 minutes ago, you deserve an explanation as to why people are immediately jumping to calling you "Entitled". For the past week and a half this general chat has been filled with people stating why they should have access over others stating, I've been on the wishlist for months, or I'm rich, your poor so I deserve it more than you, and other equally heinous reasons. So now whenever someone comes into the chat stating why they should have a key over others, they are immediately thought of as "An entitled prick that should have their fingernails forcibly removed by a dodo in heat" or something along those lines.

My suggestion is instead of coming into a Discord server and immediately saying why you should have a key is to lurk for a bit, read the room, read the pinned posts in the channels, and go from there.

because steam play test keys don't care when you sign up, access is randomly distributed across all available accounts, if you had joined discord months ago instead of five minutes ago, perhaps you would've had a significantly higher chance at receiving access by now
