you dont need to consume food all the time only when you engage in combat

But yea i think for the later game combat the buffs from the good food go a long way

The food just temporarily increases your max health (some give other buffs as well), but you always need 1 food active to keep from starving, the other two are optional to raise your hp during combat and give other buffs

yeah but straving is not a detrimental debuff when you just doing non combat stuff

You gotta get through more layers of engagement and effort which means you’re probably more amped for the game only reason you’ll play 5 mins is if the game is garbage, most accounts say it is great

Well anvil does about 50% of their invites through discord most people are not even in the discord anymore by the time they get a key

they got the feedback they needed so they didn't sound new keys even though ppl complained. their response was
we are getting sufficient feedback which we are happy with and such the closed beta is a success in our eyes. everyone just have to wait till we hold the open beta

Actually yes, the developers and publisher will do it how they see fit.

So far I am confident that behind every action may lay a reason why it is that way.

This is a very early alpha test. Not a open beta or stress test on a potential release server network.
I am sure with time and the project growing in interest we will get larger tests with a bigger capacity.
But currently it is how it is.
The game has gotten much more attention than what was foreseen. Which is good.

But please, let them cook. I know it's frustrating to not be able to play, but some Ressources are limited for reasons you cannot directly see

You have your own instances that are currently hosted on the games side.

Gameplay wise it is definelty much more closer to valheim or Enshrouded than atlas.
Currently 3player coop is supported, more is planned.

I joined the Chrono Odyssess alpha, had way more interest than this game, had 50k people in the alpha, all on one server. The game was bad, but it could at least have more people playing it. 300 at peak is sad

Honestly, at this stage of development a lot is possible in the future. The developers are extremely ambitious and you can see that they have a love for gaming. This game already has a lot of QOL that's missing in pretty big major titles.

Our server capacity is limited and we warned about it. This Alpha is not intended to be big. We are gradually increasing online and testing servers on our side. This is the point of the Alpha, as well as early feedback and showing what we have to the world via the streamers. We will be letting more people in during the following weeks, but unfortunately not everyone is going to play, and this is fine -- the game is NOT ready, the content is NOT polished enough to do a big test.
