holy shit, my guild was doing our nerub'ar mount run. Silken court bugged out, 1 boss died while the other was phased, and now we were permanently stuck in combat with the boss not coming back.
Raid lockout says silken court is dead and char stuck just moved us in front of Ansurek. So now all of those characters are basically just dead for the rest of the night.

if by just starting you mean you are still leveling, then yeah it can and will feel slow. And even at max level it can feel slow where you are not able to press a button every gcd

some things you can try:
- Switch to direct x 11, because 12 seems to be way less stable
- increase how much memory windows allows you to be used for caching (my gf had frequent crashes due to memory issues, we doubled her ram and increased this to fix it)
- close other memory hungry applications (basically all electron apps are very memory hungry)
- Dissable addons, enable one by one if you have no crashes till you find the bad apple.
- The blizz addon code had some problems too, e.g. i can't play the game (because my framerate drops to 2) when playing with default nameplates, i had to install nameplatekai and enable the performance mode (which unloads/unhooks blizz nameplates) to make the game playable
- Try to lower your graphic settings, especially spell and particle details settings and view distance

in instances, friendly nameplates are heavily restricted after they were abused massively some expansions ago. That's why when you are out you see a different look for them. This CVar to colour the name-only look was only available in beta until this week's patch. So platynator was using a custom name-only look to colour them. I would expect that soon with an update you won't have to fiddle with the CVar and it will just be an option

It's not broken because of roll but because of how sims work. Sims should be used as a comparison between gear and talents in a single spec, not between specs. Not to mention the different types of sims like patchwork, dslice (which some classes don't support), droute etc

There was no way to accurately do that before the addon changes and theres absolutely no way to do that after them
Because whats clearable with cloak of shadows is fairly random if its not a magic/curse/poison/disease effect (which you can always dispel)

The name thing is mostly the trigger, and even there is a diffrent opinion from 2 people as Metzen disslikes the name, while holly makes a point about the opposite.
The underlying concern is about other things mentioned, mostly a focus on the more casual player base.
This goes hand in hand with many of the changes we saw, like classes and content getting simplified.
Which means, the discussion is more a question, weather or not blizz knows their audience. You can guess what position people who complain about it take on this ^^

Since I start both these professions asap at expansion launch I can start making money early too
I never neglect profession quests for bonus knowledge points, Darkmoon faire, world drops, etc

It's a 90 crest diff between a 6/6 upgraded and 5/6 crafted. So it would be 4 weapon ilvls vs ~21 ilvls elsewhere plus an embellishment
