Just in relation to your initial question, at this stage of the season all specs work perfectly fine, sin had some issues on Rik due to poor damage to adds but with the gear and % boosts it's not really an issue

assa is the most newbie friendly tbh. Both outlaw and sub have their quirks and outlaw can be very punishing if you misplay since doing well depends on good AR uptime. Sub is more forgiving in comparison to outlaw, as long as you do your burst windows decently
also sub and outlaw are almost polar opposites when it comes to flow. You might want to try both to see what is more enjoyable to you

Pretty much all your DMG comes from crimson tempest (AoE bleed finisher), garrote (bleed builder) and rupture (ST bleed finisher). (Read indiscriminate carnage talent on the assassination capstone for garrote and rupture)

Bleed vs Hybrid vs Cleave/FI builds
Broad rules and Section in Guide:
- If you have to ask, you should play bleed
- If you're not doing +17's or higher (or rookery), you should play bleed
Some general concepts as to why people play different things:
- Ease of play: Bleed build is simply the easiest to play due to subterfuge/no kingsbane/less need for giant prio targets
- Boss damage: The cleave/zeross build is mainly for boss damage. Assa single target in keys is pretty bad, and the bosses would not be possible otherwise
- Specific Dungeons: Rookery as an example is very boss-heavy, especially the last boss, making bleed less ideal.
- Where the damage is: Bleed spreads out its damage and does great overall due to sudden demise and powerful 3-8 target damage. Hybrid is competitve but doesn't pull ahead until bigger AoE. Cleave is for single target damage and insanely large aoe because of how much caustic and crimson tempest carry aoe damage.

Disc priest- my main till now
Shadow priest- I really like shadow
Affliction warlock- like the fantasy but in season 1 while doing m+ got used to it
Demonology warlock- maybe

Depends on your CD management BDK historical has issues living the starts of pulls. It's a bit easier if you're in coms with a healer than can external you. But for reference 3555 is top 50 world for BDK so take that as you will

All but one of the DISC powers can be gained from completing a specific Delve. The Energy Shield one requires you to spend some currency on the upgrade console found inside a Delve.
Fortunately you only need to unlock the items once and everyone on your account can access the power on their respective belt

You're not really going to learn the specs from levelling unfortunately, the levelling experience doesn't do a good job of teaching and most of your tools are locked behind higher levels. In terms of easiest, I'd say sin is the easiest but thats also more DoT based.

Get the delve belt, starts from a quest chain in Dornogal. Get the siren isle circlet as well, other than that just get as much gear as you can, so start out with delves and then go into m+
Also the nightfall scenario is a good source of initial gear, thats in Hallowfall

the big thing imo is that early wow was veeery narratively unfocused and people respond very negatively to wc3 rehashes at this point
i like the narrative direction of this xpac personally, intra-faction tension is more interesting to me than 'what if there was a faction war again?' for the nth time
