Ambush is currently only used from blindside/sepsis proc, not from stealth.
The reasoning is a little complicated, but the most important of them is the difference in combo points on crit (up to 4 vs 3).
Some other factors to consider are increased poison applications, blindside, and doomblade. This is true for all talent combinations and legendaries.

Hey, Obedience is simming slightly higher than Dashing Scoundrel for me right now (14dps). I think this is because my gem set is only rank 4 (I've been maining disc priest this tier). With the two simming so close, are there any tiebreakers I should know about between them? Also my guild is currently progging on sylv, does one of them have a better damage profile for her phase 3?

Obedience is tied to Flagellation, which means the more efficient uses of Flag you get, the better Obedience performs. With them being so close for you, I would personally just stick to Dashing Scoundrel because it's a super passive legendary which works in all scenarios and doesn't really have any drawbacks.

Its totally fine that your Chain damage is low because you should be carrying P3 Damage
There should be other classes in your raid that are very much carrying chain damage (boomy, hunter, ele sham etc.)
But as Cev said. 2nd set run out of veil dot em up. 3rd set youll get to the point were you go to them because you're pushing bosses health too hard
If bosses health is an issue youll likely just stay on Sylv
My favorite part of Sylv is when you're focused by sentinels and Sylv's health is too low so you just stand there for 25 seconds

Not necessarily.
They're both good choices and you can't go wrong with either
They have pros and cons tied to em both
If you're playing in a group that's really frontloaded on damage, the execute-focused damage from Zoldyck might be better.
If you're playing in a group that consistently needs someone to prio a target down, Obedience helps with that by allowing for much more frequent uses of Flagellation.
It also depends a bit on the key itself and how high the keys are that you're doing.
But honestly, Obedience is a really great choice and allows you to prio stuff down, which is usually one of the great pros of bringing in a Rogue in the first place.

It’s min-maxy shit. It also goes into comp. if you’re the only soothe and you pull a mask, you might be holding that shiv way longer than you want to, and that’s some loss, but not enough for you to go from 9k overall to like 10k. You might hit .1k loss with multiple instances of this
