I use that rotation he talks about in that vid for anything Single Target, Dungeon bosses and Raid bosses alike. Where you basically keep CT, Rupture and Garrote on the enemy whilst keeping SnD active on yourself, barely ever pressing Envenom.

For AOE I open up 3 Garrotes (empowered) into Fan of Knives to 5 CP, and then SnD if i don't have it yet, otherwise CT into Ruptures on as many enemies as possible
