it depends on a few thigns and situation

you would get more CP from vanishing then using Mut. But if you're playing Vigor, you want to finish at 4 CP or Max CP. If you are already at 3 or 4, then you could use shiv here and not worry about wasting CP.

Deeper you would just finish at 5 or 6 with the same scenario

The reasoning is a little complicated, but the most important of them is the difference in combo points on crit (up to 4 vs 3).

So I’m not home right now to show sims or anything, but my sin rogue sims about 6k dps in purely single target fights with all buffs and a perfect scenario (since it’s a sim), yet when I dps about 5k on an actual boss fight in Nathria, I get a 45 parse, I’m like constantly top 3, yet only parsing 45-60. I start fights with mutilate, then slice and dice, then mutilate, then garrote, vendetta, (and since I have 6 combo point talent) I then mutilate again. After that, I use rupture, shiv, mutilate until 5 or 6 combo points, I then use flagellation, vanish, then drop first envenom. After that, I’m just mutilate spamming to dump into envenoms unless I need to refresh rupture, and keeping garrote on target, refreshing at about 3 seconds, I also use Shiv on cd if I have 2 bleeds on target. I just spam envenom if I don’t need to refresh bleeds and I use vanish and flagellation if they are off cd and I have 5 or 6 cps. Am I doing something wrong here? Why am I only parsing 45-60s if my dps isn’t far from a SIM…

There's plenty of factors as to why you're parsing what you're parsing:

• ilvl
  -group comp
  -kill timers
  -boss strategy
  -if you're refreshing bleeds too early or letting them fall off
  -if you're stacking your CDs properly
• or a bunch of other things
  Also, your first flag should be before your first rupture in the opener.

If you're using Subterfuge, you want to open with Garrote spam and then use bone spike to help you get your bleeds up on all the mobs.

In ST, you want to open with one bone spike from stealth > SnD, and then just dump them when you enter a Gemstone window.

Deadly Poison doesn't apply on some casts like Garrote, Rupture, and Shiv.
It's a minor bug but "notable" in that it does have some noticeable impact on DPS.
Should be around a 100-200 dps loss

then you want to use Theotar with lashings + Wellplaced steel/Lethal poisons/maimed which ever one is the highest ilvl but it's best to sim
