1. You need to be better at keeping bleeds up on the boss at all times. This is a ST boss with very little downtime, your bleed uptime should be closer to 98-99%.

2. You're overcapping energy by a lot. This should be closer to 0-2%. Could be an issue of you pooling or not using energy efficiently before the charges.

3. You want to manage your cooldown usage a bit better. I attached a screenshot of your pillar 2 rotation. You need to always have Shiv (for every single pillar) and Flag (for every other pillar) ready for when he's about to charge, meaning that you should use Shiv on the pillar and once before the charge, then you hold it until he hits the pillar. The best way is to use Flag just before he hits the pillar and Shiv right after, followed by vanish - Env - Muti - Muti - Env. If you cannot hit the boss a second before he hits, just use Vendetta and Flag/Shiv right away as he hits the pillar. You want to maximize that 12s window and missing 2-3s is a huge hit on your damage.

Pay more attention to Shiv and do not use it on CD on this boss. You need to have it ready as your first or second gcd on every single pillar.

This is one of the rare occasions where you don't want to press Flag/Shiv on cooldown.

The reasoning is a little complicated, but the most important of them is the difference in combo points on crit (up to 4 vs 3).
Some other factors to consider are increased poison applications, blindside, and doomblade. This is true for all talent combinations and legendaries.

• Don't use Shiv on cooldown. Instead use it for every pillar and once between every pillar. This means holding the Shiv for a little while before Sludge hits pillars.

• Don't use Flagellation on cooldown. Instead sync it with Vendetta/Shiv on pillars. Ideal use is either 2s before he hits the pillar followed by Shiv, or the same moment he hits the pillar. The latter is technically better, but it's much harder to pull off though, unless you're very well positioned with your partner and both use a movement ability. You losing out on 3s of Flag because you had to run to the pillar first and then apply Flag and Shiv after is not worth it.

• Bleed uptime should be close to 98-99%. Bleeds should be reapplied before the charges, even if they are not within pandemic range yet. This is to ensure that that they don't drop during the 12s burn-phase. Any gcd not used to Muti/Env/Ambush during burn, is a wasted gcd.

• Do not overcap energy. Starve yourself of energy before the stomp so you can use the 3s you're running away as an opportunity to pool energy.

• Use potion with lust.

I don't remember where the WFT chart is but I think it's not quite as big for assassination as outlaw, but still free DPS. (I'm sure someone will link it specifically because I don't remember where it is xD) I want to say it's like a 2 to 2.5% DPS gain just for being in the same part group as an enhance shaman.

Sims are still showing Well-Placed Steel (Or Lashing Scars if Venthyr) as top choice, but it's best to sim your own conduits in the TopGear choice on Raidbots just in case.

From what I've seen though, it's still not worth but it is better than before if you have doomblade on. (Sorry changed wording. xD)

I'd still definitely sim your combinations, just to be positive. Maim, Mangle is super easy and consistent gains since it doesn't revolve around shiv windows but the overall may prove otherwise even with a lower Well-Placed Steel.

This isn't to call out your logs specifically, more a general question for logging. Fights like Huntsman with more than 1 active boss target, should it be easier to keep a high Gar/Rupt uptime, or do the logs only focus on Huntsman uptime?

you're holding shiv way too long, and missing casts because of it. Make sure to cast on cooldown, and plan everything else around it. Your garrote/rupture uptimes are generally okay, but could be slightly better. That goes for your envenom uptime as well. Make sure to pool on envenom when you're not in shiv/vend/flag, to maximize the uptime on envenom and such. I also saw you open with garrote when you're running master assassin, don't do that. Subterfuge is the talent that buffs garrote, without it, there's no reason to cast garrote from stealth

I'm new to assa, and I feel like I'm struggling a bit on the dps side, hoping to get a few pointers to get me started. Coming from outlaw it feels slow and a bit clunky.

I don't have that many logs yet - only 2 weeks and we are progressing on Council right now, but I hope it provide a baseline for what I'm doing right and wrong.

syncing is the exception, not the rule

you should only ever consider syncing, if you know the kill time for the fight, and know you won't miss a cast on any of your cooldowns because of it

so like lets take an example

hungering lets say

could be a 6:30 fight on a slow kill, or like speed kill in heroic could be 3:30 right

so on the 6:30 fight, you can vend on pull/2/4/6, and flag on pull/1:30/3/4:30/6

if you delay a flag by 30 seconds to line up with a vendetta, you won't get that flag at 6 minutes

because you delayed 30 seconds

that's a no-no

on the 3:30 kill, you can vend on pull/2, and flag at pull/1:30/3

so you would hold vendetta for the flag at 3 minutes

1. Why are subs still simming higher in DSlice, but when i sim single target and cleave or Patchwerk multitarget, Assa always has the edge ?!
2. Is there any good WA to track your Garrotes / Ruptures on multitarget? I am still struggling on that part. Plater shows too much information (like phial stacks or normal poison etc.)

I left even with loads of things at high anima upgrades from NF, don’t regret it one bit. My mission table levels for neutral companions and troops carried over somehow too so that’s awesome

I hated the queens conservatory anyway

But I grinded all the reps to exalted etc for the mushroom and stuff, still venthyr flag is so fun IDM 🙂
