DS should still pull ahead for Venthyr in ST and it's quite a bit as well. I would just recommend sticking to it and just getting a better feel for it. It's not that bad when you get used to it
But yeah, don't hold flag. You can hold it if you know you won't miss a cast (ie. the last flag/vendetta cast of the fight)

Hiya everyone, I'm not sure I'm in the right place to ask but I'm new to WoW and I've been playing as a Rogue Assassin and someone said I wasn't doing very much damage when I was in a dungeon. I've been reading online what I'm meant to do but I think the max damage I do is like 700-800 on a hit and that's the Ambush one. Does anyone know where I might be able to find out more info? I've been reading icy-veins and trying to improve but I don't know if it's making any difference 🤦♀️ I'm like level 46 or something like that so not very high yet!

Well inting in a general sense can be looked up on Google, but in this case meaning to make a bad personal choice about spec at the cost of the success of your raid group.
If your group needs AoE you'll want to play Outlaw or get swapped for someone with burst AoE, but if you have enough of the right classes you'll be able to contribute to boss damage and large add cleave decently enough to not be a burden

the weird thing about pooling is this
if you're slow, and pool, there's not a lot of benefit, because by the time you get the energy for the next envenom, all the overcap on buffs etc is gone
and if you're fast enough to get to the point where you're overcapping
you also have enough energy to where the overcap isn't important anymore, and you shouldn't be pooling

The reason the DPS difference is so low is really because the uptime of Shiv is just up so much combined with Vendetta
