The earlier the more imp gar uptime the later the more kb crit, the balance on non-openers skews more towards the earlier, but at the end of the day vanishing on -6 or -7 or -8 or -9 washes out to about the same regardless, you get 1 tick of empowered garrote instead of 1 tick of 20% kb crit

In opener -6 is correct because you already have your imp gar from stealth and so you don’t need to slam at the start

So it’s just objectively correct

But any other one you’re just trading one for the other and it evens out to being whatever

As long as it’s not instantly at the start of dm
