but you can't really touch shadowdance and thistle tea being made passive defeats the purpose of the entire ability. ER seems the best option for some passive tweaking if we ever went that route while TT would likely need a full redesign or replacement. Neither of those are likely in the short term though.

Don't actually know if it every snapshotted dots in the past, but it definitely benefited from gameplay being ALOT slower, and finishers being a big chunk of damage compared to health pools

it affects one instant damage ability
compare it to something similar like MA which affects all your spec based damage in a 3s window, including dots, finishers, builders, whatever

Kind of on that topic, and not sure how much Realz can speak to it as it's likely much larger than him, but I'm curious how class/talent tree changes will be tackled through out the expansion. He's here out of his own accord (we appreciate it), but patch cycle development is certainly different than an expansion beta. Very much enjoyed the alpha/beta iteration brainstorming and hope we can see some of that through the expansion and less "this will have to wait for 10.x or next expansion" like classes have had in the past.
