all you need to do is launch the game without -noeac, close the game, press windows key + r > type %appdata%\EasyAntiCheat, take both anticheatlauncher.log and service.log and drop them into my discord dm (right click me > send message)

True combos: combos that have 0 dodge windows which means they can't dodge

Bow side-light into down-light is not true.

Bow down-light into jump side-air is true tho.

Look up the true combos for each weapon to have more awareness of the weapon

i don’t think you should “learn to dodge”, rather i think you should learn WHEN to dodge. i think the less you use dodge, the less predictable you are. learn your movement, get faster with it and study the opponents moves so you know when to back off and approach

One really important part of it is knowing your opponents options in neutral (as in, what THEY can do), and knowing their weapons and which true combos they have from which attacks. Lets say you're fighting a lance player in neutral and you're just moving around, what you need to be thinking about is what options they have to approach/attack you and then space them. so while you're in neutral with this lance player the main things you're gonna be thinking about is sair and dair (presuming you're both on stage and moving normally) for aerial attacks and slight for grounded attacks, obviously the other attacks are viable but these are the hardest to punish and most players will use these to catch you, especially sair and dair, thankfully all of these have a quite similar ranges and you can bait them out with movement if they're not attacking, it helps vs all those moves if you float above them but a better player will catch on to repeat attempts of this.

a lot of neutral tips we can give you are situational but the most important things to practise is making sure you know all the weapons attacks, keeping track of your opponents threats (sair dair, nlight in the above example) and practising movement. movement is super important and having good movement im neutral can not only help you avoid attacks but also bait out your opponents attacks. in general having good dashes to bait approaches and punish, being able to float around someone to bait them, and using your dodge when applicable in neutral (tho its most used out of a light attack to avoid being string'ed).

I think dodge is most important for the "I just get absolutely comboed by people" part they mentioned for sure but it depends really on their skill level how much they have to worry about being predictable about it

of course you never want to be predictable regardless of skill but for example a silver or gold is going to have a lot less problems dodging the same way constantly compared to a diamond who does that since their opponents wont be punishing optimally if at all

for newer players its a matter of knowing what you can dodge (try to dodge after every light attack) and when

thats why 1 frame strings can be really good on newer players since theres still skill to learning to dodge those windows that not everyone will have even if they're mashing

in general tho improve:
neutral -> movement, know opponents threats, punishes, approach with movement not attacks
"getting comboed" -> know when you can dodge, dont go straight in after dodging, dont dodge predictably, dont constantly walk into people in neutral

yeah work on one thing at a time, and "overwork it" for example if you're practising movement do everything over the top, whether thats dashing, baiting, or just avoiding the opponent. really put your game focus into that one skill and it'll become natural, then when you work on another skill you'll have the muscle memory from practising to keep moving faster and more cleanly. and generally will improve at that specific skill faster

Use moves with high vertical priority

another thing is with spear gp the users hurtbox is actually in front of the hitbox so you can actually hit them out of the attack if you aim in the middle of it, it essentially has negative priority, but only do this if you're in position for it. if they're using spear gp on stage to cover missed moves a simple backdash when they miss a move to get out of the way and then punish the spear gp (instead of triyng to punish the first move) is usually pretty good. you can also try dodging straight up through the spear gp and punishing with your own gp or dair after since you're above them, it takes a while for them to get out of gp so this can be a great punish if the gp is obvious. depending on your weapon you can also always nair if you know they want to gp to give yourself some space.
Recovery is hard to avoid if you have no options but more often than not you're probably falling right after getting hit and getting hit again by a recovery since they know you're going down (impatience) out of hitstun up.

the general idea with dodging is you want to

1. use dodges sparingly; if you can jump or fastfall to avoid something you should

2. dodge out of their range, e.g. if they have spear you want to dodge up to have the lowest chances of being hit

3. just in general play it safe. dodging towards the stage or down is typically a bad idea since those are the easiest dodges to punish. make sure to be thinking about what they might try to do when they see you burn their dodge and work around that

Firstly, if you have the launch option -noeac you MUST remove this for ranked or you will get an error when queuing. Don't get this confused with the EAC bugs.
Secondly, if you have a 32 bit OS or are running Windows vista or older your system isn't supported by the anticheat, either use -noeac as a launch option or upgrade.

How do I read dodges?

New players: New players usually don't know how to dodge or will be unable to dodge low dodge frame strings. Find low dodge frame strings that you can hit them with and get your free damage. A couple examples of this you can use are bow- slight > dlight > nlight or spear- slight > dlight > sair, both are 1 dodge frame.

**Gold and under:**In general, most of your opponents will be dodging the same way, this commonly is dodging inwards. On basically all weapons your strategy should be hitting them away > waiting for the dodge in and letting them dodge into you/past you and hitting them again and getting your damage. However, sometimes your opponent wont dodge in, but they probably are mostly doing the same dodge in another direction, this means you should be reading them dodging the same way they did last time you hit them with the same attack.

**Platinum:**Here players will have learnt to adapt their dodges to not dodge the exact same way every time, however most of them will have dodging habits you can read to get a general idea of how they dodge based off their playstyle, are they passive? probably going to dodge up/away more, are they aggressive? probably going to dodge in/down more. Once you know the general direction the player will dodge, you can react to dodges by preparing yourself. Most players have a set dodge offstage and when panicking - abuse this.

**Diamond:**Here I recommend not just focusing on dodges, but other habits like how many options the use in the air, how they recover to stage, when they weapon throw, what attacks they're using in neutral. Understanding this will give you the edge on your opponent and allow you to win in the respective situation.

**General Tip:**Start the game going for an extended string, this way if they don't dodge you will get extra damage and ruin their game-plan of delaying dodges, If they do dodge you know what dodge to look out for next time you hit them.

1. Right click the game in the library
2. Click properties (see image below)
3. Go to the general section
4. In the bottom text field, add -noeac

Brawlhalla will now launch with Easy Anti-Cheat disabled.
