i have some issues with brawlhalla performance I have a good pc (i5 gtx1650 24gb of ram and 1920 x 1080 monitor)
the game even though my native resolution is 1920 x 1080 has a strange resolution of like 1500 x 800 or something like that. It also gives me lag input and screen freezes.

time to explain rollback netcodes

in a rollback netcode, when you have high ping, you receive the opponent's inputs late.
to combat this, the netcode guesses what they're doing. once the next packet is received, the netcode rolls back the game to the previous input packet, and quickly simulates it with the new input that was received late, thus resynchronizing the game

but, how does it guess?
the best guess is that you'll be doing what you were doing previously. this makes moving smoother. however, with high ping, this has the side effect of teleporting you around

theres a priority to which colours are shown on your screen and halloween was a higher priority than whatever the arcadia player originally queued with, which the munin was using therefore the arcadia is shown as having halloween for you as well

not sure exactly whats causing it but i recommend disabling the anti-cheat with the steam launch option "-noeac" as well as enabling the beta build "techtest" under steam's "betas" section. both launch options and betas are in the properties of brawlhalla when you right click on it in your steam library
