on the dev streams they've said/implied the problem isn't development/workflow issues its the legal problems behind it, the last time they talked about it they said they "really want it to happen" but until they've resolved conflicts with all the different companies (microsoft. sony, steam, etc) they cant progress on it. theres no guarantee it will ever happen if those problems cant be overcome

If they picked up sword, threw it up in the air, picked up guns, threw guns away, caught sword, then their next weapon would still be sword since the last one they got from the glowing weapon thing was guns

A lot of people do that intentionally to queue up another of their preferred weapon when their opponent is respawning

That’s how they do that, they queue up a second spear by throwing their spear up, picking up their other weapon tossing it away and catching their spear, now they can do that again, but will get 2 spears
