Well, teros can be played in any way as both axe and hammer are very strong in all fields.
I think can be played both parry and aggressive but not passive, I think this because dlight launches you forward which seems like an aggressive move

considering I'm better with swords and bows compared to hammer and axe (I keep missing hits)

Hammer and axe benefit when you get a hit more purely because they're heavy weapons with 2 hit combos. I don't see why you couldn't pocket both because they're both very strong and have their ups and downs

@clear zinc learn all true combos as those weapons have insane ones, also stance is purely personal preference for Petra just do whatever feels good when you play.

I personally recommend speed stance, but it is just preference. For orb, learn how to cover yourself with nlights, catch opponents out of a low jump with dash dlight, and catch low landings with dash slight. In the air, you can jump nair to catch high opponents and then delay a bit before doing a second nair to try to get a nair chain going. Also, slight dlight and slight jump sair are orb’s bread and butter true combos. You can also cover your landings with dair or sair, but don’t overdo it or your opponent might catch on and bait them out. Recovery, slight sair, and raw sair are your most reliable kill options, but nlight and dair can get the job done

yeah that's why I see my main problem: you see, I know chosen bots are supposed to be hard to beat, punish, outspace, whatsoever for a gold player but I can beat it really easily without cheesing. mainly coz I know exactly how the bots behave perfectly so that I can punish. But when it comes to normal players, I cannot beat them as easily

the way u say it, i think you can try to adapt the way you play against chosen bots to real players, like you say you know what chosen bots do so u can punish, most ppl in gold/plat have single habits that you can exploit exactly like that, so maybe try to pay attention do they for example jump every time they miss an attack, or mix up dodges onstage but instantly dodge in as soon as they are offstage etc

i think chosen bots are probably harder to predict then golds in the end but i dontt play against chosen bots a lot

it really depends on their health and where you hit the dair but if you're hitting it relatively close to the wall (like from a dash jump fast fall dair) you've usually gotta let yourself drift a little away from the wall to get the gp, at least past orange healths

if you dont think you'll hit it true then dair is usually better

try to just focus on playing that weapon, playing the same character is fine but when you'd normally throw it away keep it and try to prime a second one for your next weapon pickup while you have that weapon. dont be afraid to lose games because you were playing your worse weapon, even in games where you could play your preferred weapon and beat your opponent

im an orb main,, i recommend looking at eggsoup's orb guide and just hang around in training trying to get the feel of the weapon and perhaps do some experimental 1v1s and just use the secondary weapon

main things to practice outside of the combos he shows are djff grounded dairs (lead into nlights and just a good neutral tool overall) and doing a ground bounce dair over ledge (time the dair so that you do a bounce, sending the dair projectile over the ledge)
