it's called the halfpipe. slight dash dlight jump rev dair.
it's not true (except for the slight dlight part). it can be easily dodged, if you follow those 3 rules:

1. dont mash dodge. time it
2. dont dodge towards them
3. dont mash jump/recovery. generally speaking dont do that.

by extension of 2, against better players, dont dodge in place, and generally mix up where you dodge.

those two rules also apply to general long strings, especially on scythe

if you respect the opponents moves you can usually bait them or at the very least not be in range for them

I've been struggling for a time, I don't feel pulling a GC DLight to be consistent. I don't know if it's just me but this move is a lot harder than GC SLight or GC NLight in general, most prominently while using gauntlets. I thought this was my defect and I've been trying to practice these moves as much as I can. But today trying to practice the new blasters diagonal chasedodge GC DL tech the move just doesn't go off. It works 10/10 times with the GC SL and GC NL versions however it just does awkward things when i try to do the DL version. I've been trying to analyse wether I just do it in inactivation frames, or the timing of the input is off, but none of this is present, I can't explain why it's not working. Am I doing something wrong or is there any other option that I didn't think of?

Whats the better play againts axe players or any players who float a lot and go for falling attacks is it the more standing still aprach and trying to spot dodge or move very little or the one where I live super fast and unpredictable and they can't hit me with dairs.

Just moving seems way easier but is it the right play

if they're attacking you, bait them by fastfalling and punish
weapon throws also help
if you can predict their attack, spot dodging would work (unless you're on spear)

and sometimes the hitboxes screw you over

theoretically speaking, even 1df is jumpable, but the jump will very rarely ever get you away fast enough

DONT USE THE JUMP REACTION TO TEST JUMPABILTIY. the bot doesnt do its job properly. use frame step and check multiple directions
