beating spammers:

1. improve your movement. this will allow you to evade their attacks better
2. learn the spacing. knowing where moves hit will help you not get hit
3. jump. many "spam" sigs dont hit in the air
4. dodge
5. weapon throw. that interrupts sigs
6. stop walking directly towards them
7. change approaches. approaching the same way will cause you to get hit the same way

beating blasters:

blasters are based around spacing opponents away from their no no zones (stacked and a bit around them, where they cant hit). bait them to use one of the high active frame moves (nlight or dlight), and try to keep pressure as much as possible

as i dont know much of the near infinite amount of light attacks, i havent tested with the randomisation issue myself on light, but that is exactly what i saw cody travis do - dair'd right to get back on stage, and dair'd left instead and lost the game because of it

as they were out of jumps i cant imagine a strategy where they would intentionally kill themselves yet alone in a championship final

not to mention it happened to them twice that i saw in that said final
(more so over the previous 3 matches or so that i ended up seeing)

i dont really know what you mean. if you press down and left/right at the same time you will always do the downwards attack, the same for aim up and neutral attacks, thats intentional

id need to see the clip or more explanation of what you mean but just sounds like he missinputted dair the wrong way

everyone says that - but its an issue with the game on controller at least that i know of

basic answers that have no validation:

• dodgy controller
  happens on every controller i have
  new
  2nd hand
  360
  One
  EDIT - wired, wireless 360 adaptor, bluetooth
  i will be testing on my og xbox controllers with emulated 360 software when i get my adaptors

• miss input
  after being dismissed this way i went into testing and only did a single sig in the same direction each time
  still randomised

im not talking everytime, but there is a good percentage where this happens

further info requested:

if you go to do a move with controller - any specific direction - theres a chance that the game will have your character perform any other direction move - and yes that includes the direction you wanted initially

right can become - right, left, down, up
left can become - right left down up
etc

i do not have the hand eye co-ords to use keyboard, however as i do not see this usually in tourneys i doubt keyboard is affected

cody travis was the first time seeing the randomisation in a tourney
and it was clear due to that dair left right as a last ditch effort to return to the stage and dair'd right left instead flinging himself further off the stage instead and he lost their first stock early(?). this happened again on the last stock(?)

hmm definitely never had that problem on keyboard, ive never heard of anyone else having that either so im not really sure how you're having that, if you play on pc you could probably find a website/program which could display your controller inputs live and then watch to see if the inputs correlate to the signatures being used when you test it in training, if they didn't then it would be safe to assume its a bug, but im sure ive never noticed anything like that on keyboard, and i know cody uses keyboard as well, so idk why he'd have that bug (would make sense why i havent noticed anything like that since i dont have a controller) but it wouldnt hurt to test a bug like that with software that shows inputs to confirm its not on your end

pros like santy, cosolix, acno (eu) and a probably a few others i cant remember play controller if you were looking for controller player examples tho

Scythe might be one the harder weapons to learn for some people but if you can get decent with it you should be good. Just play legends and find which weapons are most fun for you
