yup that happens to me all the time
what's happening is you're limiting your options to whatever you're most comfortable/familiar with, and as a result your gameplay is suffering greatly
i'd suggest messing around with different options and exploring different followups and stuff until you get the hang of the legend again
alternatively, try learning a new legend to get out of the mindset of sticking with whatever is comfortable/familiar and you can switch back

so on gaunlets and scythe bait a nair and dair them. on sword nair is safer, so bait them to whiff on the ground

since axe is slow in neutral and those weapons are pretty safe
so try to get more and more exposed to it to learn how to play in it better

Here's an example against sword. With Axe it's not as much as the particular match up as it is opponent habits. Here I dair to feel him out, catch the dodge with a second dair and dair again to bait him going for the weapon. With Axe you really wanna focus on punishing but you need to pay attention and recognize player habits. Hit them and remember how they tend to react and adjust with a move that catches the reaction. Do they dodge back and away when they are hit like this guy? If so, dair again. Do they dodge up instead? Nair them! Just be patient. Axe is a punish heavy weapon

You either wanna be above or below someone and if you're not you should always space for an slight punish for the true Nair or sair followup or other possible followup like gp

Don't throw slight out unless you're reasonably sure it's going to hit

I think theres a lot of habits here to fix like dodging the same direction (inwards) and struggling to dodge strings which are dodgeable (like neutral light > neutral sig / neutral air or side light > neutral light all against scythe) but i think what you should focus the most on improving is your accuracy of your attacks and your movement which you're using to set up said attacks. A lot of the game you're going for stuff like katar sair and dair and cannon sair hoping the enemy will move into the attack.
The things i mentioned above I would say were the main reason you lost that game and i think if you focus on moving towards the enemy then attacking and switching up which attacks you do based off how your opponent is playing (and just generally trying to use your weapons full kit more) would help you a lot, the player you fought was playing really grounded, so the times when you sair on cannon or try to dair and hope they stand still on katars are pretty ineffective, something like using katar side light especially if you dash then do it will bring you a lot more damage against a player like that.
Use dashes for grounded moves (and using grounded moves a bit more in general) and let yourself get closer before attacking will mean you're gonna be missing these a lot less. I would cut down on using these approach options at least a little since theres not great reward for hitting them - katar dair only has a true combo (2 or more attacks together that cant be dodged) at 9 dex on lin fei, and is easy to punish for the enemy, cannon sair can be good but dair is generally better to approach with since its easy and faster to hit, katar sair is only really rewarding if you are using it to kill.
That being said if the way you're playing works in other games, you dont need to change it as your gameplan at all (doing what works is good!), you should just make sure if its not working to adapt to your opponent and dont get too stuck in one way of playing

I’ve been having this issue as of late and I don’t think it has anything to do with other factors. I’ve been lagging very badly as of late 3/4 bars with no rebound and idk why. I’ve tried everything. Resetting my router, restarting my console, resetting and tweaking my WiFi settings on the console, and deleting and then reinstalling the game itself and I still lag with 3/4 bars. most of the grounded light attacks are pretty good you can move in and side light them and see how they react then go from there and catch landings and punish with dlight
