take a look at it: it's a giant bulky bar of metal with a huge hitbox on the front. This means, whenever it will be able to hit you with one of it's big hitbox attacks, it will probably hit you before you can hit it. However, it's weak if you are under it: it's dair is diagonal and not straight down at all. above it when grounded is good aswell.

the reason why you struggle is probably because at your level approaching isn't a very popular skill to learn, so all you do is be very one-sided in your movement and lances love that

spear, a weapon which compliments punish/passive playstyles is played by ethan at pro level super aggressively and approach heavy
