they use sigs while I’m white health

step 1 is understanding that the people you play against are spamming because you're making the mistake of not learning against them, you're spamming mistakes. getting frustrated against them will make you play worse and not learn from the losses. so dont focus on the elo, you can always get that back, focus on how you can learn from losing to them, what you did wrong. most likely you're running at them without thinking and straight away going for an attack, approach with your movement not attacks. figure out what you're getting hit by and try and get out of it, for example the lance players are going for an attack, and if they miss they will dlight: you can approach them, space their first attack and then wait for them to dlight by pressuring them and then get a free punish on the missed dlight. the reason axe and lance is good against golds is because they have big hitboxes that you're failing to avoid, focus on spacing them and punishing their missed attacks where you can

Are there any koji specific strings or movement I should be following? Trying to main koji now and am grinding for tm

i think the most important things is understanding how many options (jumps, recovery, dodge and its cooldown) you AND your opponent has, also keeping a track of how your opponent recovers is really useful so you can hit them when they use recovery. by that i mean most people have a pattern on how they get back to stage, they might; jump > dodge > recovery > jump, they might; save recovery as their last option, they might; always recovery first. you can get an idea of how they get back and be ready for their option as you guard them coming back to stage. your weapon is really good offstage especially gp so look for any opportunity to hit them, if they have only 1 or 2 options left and are going to dodge to the wall you can just hover above them and wait, then gp them and repeat until they die. dair is probably the most risky attack to go for but it can work if they're directly below you, nair is good for getting them offstage in the first place and if your opponent is aggressive offstage you can probably nair them, also really good if they jump out of hitstun constantly. sair is also really good especially if your opponent tries to go around you and you're waiting for it, sair them and wait for them to do it again, or if they go to the wall go for a gp. if you want to practice it i would go play exp and just try to force more offstage engagements, that way you're not losing anything if you mess up and you can practice against real players who have habits

Slight is your main baiting and get off me tool. you can chase dodge into nlight at low damage

Nlight is a fast get off me tool and you main approach option. it's xpivotable so abuse that

Dlight is your main combo starter but is also very punishable in neutral

Dair is your main movement option and aerial combo starter. offstage I like to dair into the wall and read how the opponent recovers to get early gimps

sair is an aerial get off me tool and great for reseting neutral, or baiting counterattacks

Nair is a general tool to clear your landings and juggle opponents

recovery is your main kill option

groundpound is used to gimp as gc dlight gp is a true combo

ssig is a great kill option if you can bait your opponent into it

dsig is a fast kill move you can xpivot
