lance's main weakness is a blind spot above it

so:

• do not approach lance from the front
• try to approach lance from the top, and juggle from the bottom
• do not panic jump. do not jump near lance.
• offstage, make sure to mixup with fastfalling and avoid panic jumping. if you're fastfalling lance has to do a lot more work.

lance is a common struggle for gold players because it requires more adaptation than most other weapons, and can punish panic options well (and gold players love to do panic options)

change your attack keys (and dodge) to a set that doesn't have issues, or get a better keyboard (look for "anti ghosting" or "N key rollover". any gaming/mechanical keyboard that isn't a scam will also have this fixed)

Yo, can someone answer a doubt of mine? i was messing around with greatsword then i notice something weird, i remember doing the greatsword tutorial challenges in the offline mode and to complete a specific one of those, i had to peform a Slight op -> Nlight br -> Dash -> Nlight op -> Dlight br -> Slight cl, seems easy until i try, i notice that is impossible (to me at least) to Dash -> Nlight without peforming a Dlight by mistake, i must press Down + Dodge, realease both and then press Light Attack, but doing this is naturally slow so the Nlight won't connect. I was wondering if you guys just go straight for a Chase Dodge -> Nlight or there is actually a trick to peform Dash -> Nlight?

My friend has an issue with brawl, everytime he goes into an online game he gets dced within a few seconds, he can’t play online in Brawlhalla or else he gets dced… he can be online and be in custom online rooms but if he actually plays a game he gets dced, he can only play the game in offline mode.

alright unfortunately im unlikely to get a fast answer at this time of night, but i had two questions. one, how much of a dodge-window does a string need in order for it to be jumpable? is it a consistent number/amount, or is it dependent on the move and/or weapon, and additionally how do i use the training settings to test extremely specific/niche interactions, such as seeing certain strings following a dodge read to see what is jumpable? every attempt ive made, when i leave the training menu it always messes up the frame step playback, or maybe i dont know how to use that feature correctly, i dont know.

the jump reaction option in training room is also not that good. you're better off switching between you and the bot and trying to escape yourself.

yes, the training room menu fucks up the playback. avoid opening it during framestep. you can unpause, open, then step back.

both dodge and jump have 2 frames of startup. the dodge frame count takes into account the dodge startup, so it's essentially a question of how far you can get off a jump. 3 frames is usually enough to get you out of most things, but not always.

Hello everyone. Woke up today to Brawlhalla running capped in 144fps (as if Vsync has been turned on) instead of the usual 1000fps.
Vsync and Max Frame Rate are turned off everywhere, in NVIDIA APP, Nvidia control panel, launch options are -triplebuffer -setfps 1000. Tried reinstalling, trying different launch options combinations, enabling-disabling steam overlay
Just yesterday the game was running at 1000fps, I haven't even touched anything or updated the game...

-SOLUTION-
As I was writing this question, I got an idea - tried disabling Discord Overlay and my fps went back up to 1000.
If you have the same problem, just disable Discord Overlay for Brawlhalla by going into Discord settings - Registered games - Find brawlhalla (if it's launched it will be at the top in a green box) - Press the "screen" button ("disable overlay").
I'll leave this here, maybe it'll help someone with the same question.

i used to be able to set fps to 4x my refreshrate a year ago and now its shit and it either caps it at monitor refreshrate or just goes infinite

also game feels more laggy with discord screenshare it wasnt happening last eyar

right now i added some triplebuffer thing and removed one and it just goes to infinite

using these is both setting your fps to 480 and 1000 which doesn't work
-framefixunbounded was renamed to -triplebuffer, it disables vsync which is the thing that allows you to increase fps
-broadcaster just disables clans it doesn't do anything for lag or latency or anything

use -triplebuffer -setfps 1000 if you want the max amount of fps you can get
if you want to set your fps to your monitor hz swtich 1000 for your monitor hz

you're just not meant to use unlockfps incase the devs remove it without telling anyone
