If i spam high risk moves by habit and get used to them on lower elos ill have to unlearn them later on

Hey, does anyone else has fps drops or has a fix to brawlhalla suddenly dropping fps after playing few games. My specs are: CPU: Intel i7-14700KF, GPU: RTX 4070 SUPER, 32gb ram so i should be able to and I can run brawlhalla on consistent 1000 fps with no issues until the performance suddenly tanks completely and I can't even hit the 240 fps cap I've put on with ''-triplebuffer -setfps 240'' recommended launch options. Ive tried everything and all the launch options, nothing has fixed this. Its always fine at the start after restarting the game, but after i play for a while the fps drops again, restarting fixes it temporarily.

It's honestly the truth sadly. It really doesn't matter how good your PC is. you'll likely experience some kind of lag regardless. There are ways of mitigating the effects of fps drops but there doesn't seem to be a universal fix for everyone

Depends. You can think of it like having two charges of a chase dodge. If you hit a grounded move you can use both of them immediately if you hit your opponent in the air you can only use one. But then if you hit a second move right after you can use your second one. However if you used a normal dodge prior then I believe you are limited to one in the air

When grounded doing an attack using one chase dodge and doing another attack you can do another chase dodge. But any immediately after that it is on cool down

i messed around a bit more with it and made 2 realisations.
you can add a chase dodge at the end of that string which you get from the last attack (recovery) here. But the reason it wasnt working for me is that i was trying to do it back towards the stage

apparently you can chase dodge in all directions except horizontally away from the opponent

makes sense from the name

2nd is that any hit you get gifts you a free CD no matter what happens before it

also to correct you again, you can't chase dodge backwards

Chase dodges only work in the direction you are facing (and up or down). Example with spear edge guarding. I can orient my character to face toward the stage and hit my opponent with the back hit box of GP, allowing me to hit them away from the stage and I can CD back to stage

yess, i figured. it seems that in the clip i was allowed 2 chase dodges since after the one i did on the ground i was already on the ground. And the reason it didnt work in free fall at the very end was due to aiming it in the wrong direction

if my understanding is correct being on the ground resets the 2 cd cooldown tho

it's all about pattern recognition. Does your opponent use wake up attacks constantly? Do they always approach with jumps? Do they recover to the stage similarly? If you can figure out how they like to move/attack you can then plan how to best counter them

to do the buffered version you need to chase dodge and within the first few frames of the chase dodge emitting, jump, which lets you do a near-grounded nair

efficient legends would have a 2ndary weapon that is exceptionally good at kill confirms like scarlet or ulgrim

I linked my ubisoft to my PS account so I could use my PS inventory and progression on PC… Once i did that i linked my steam to my ubisoft account and when i go to link the account everything works except it tells me “your linked account hasn’t logged in, in over 31 days”

Looks to me like you likely got caught up in the recovery frames of your nair.. happens to the best of us from time to time
I would suggest playing around with recovery time in the training room to get a better feel for it (you can do this by turning on the show stun option in the settings)
Sword did get a massive nerf to many of its moves recovery time in the most recent patch. Pretty sure that nair specifically did not receive that nerf but I'm not 100%

Ok so right click on Brawlhalla and then go down to properties. From there you can put in "-triplebuffer" and -setfps (whatever your monitor's refresh rate is). You should experiment around with both of these settings as they can either help or hurt sometimes.
