but those are special i frames that don't protect against sigs

how you input them into the game is irrelevant in a guide

it is faster, lasts for longer, and can be cancelled with an attack

you can do a chase dodge even if your dodge is on cooldown, which is useful for recovering

and if you hit a grounded attack you can do 2 chase dodges in quick succession

you need to dash jump
to dash jump consistently you hold down and press dodge then jump after
you can hold your down input through the whole combo

@polar jay I usually don't respond to DMS and even then not directly cuz I tend to get a lot of scammers and assholes so I hope you understand why I'm responding here
I actually have a similar setup with a 5900x and a 3060 with 48 gigs of ram and I used to sometimes get terrible performance on some of the older patches
first thing is make sure you're on the public branch (default/no beta) and only use -setfps with your exact refresh rate; don't use unlockfps or triplebuffer
also try to use -noeac for now just know that you wouldnt be able to play ranked on upcoming patches, but once you know it works you can test with eac
now make sure windows and all your drivers are up to date and honestly I would highly recommend you reinstall windows, try to do an inplace upgrade if you wanna keep your data and programs. a fresh reinstall is always an option
also if you're using windows 11 make sure ur on 24h2 and not 23h2
if I had to speculate the issue is loading textures from disk either that can be very slow or there might cross core delay that can seriously impact performance; so I would also suggest setting the processor affinity either to the first 6C/12Th or the second set. if you didn't know the way a Ryzen 9 is built is basically by shoving 2 Ryzen 5/7s together, half of the cores is on one ccd (core complex die) and the other half is on another ccd. this can cause big delay if two cores from differing ccds try to communicate
issue might also be thermal so make sure your temps are in check and that your CPU isnt downclocking to 2ghz; also check your ram speed cuz am4 Ryzen really likes 3200-3600 MT/s
the last thing is just make sure your brawlhalla install is on a fast disk without bit locker or drive compression. if you know what you're doing and got 2 gigs of spare ram you can also set up a ramdisk and run brawlhalla from there

inplace upgrade is really easy to do and its basically just download an exe run it and let it reinstall
after its done all your things will be exactly the same but windows will prolly be smoother

i also just tried using a ram disk, didnt seem to impact performance that much but you can still try it

ok so thanks to chatgpt, yt and google i managed to do the steps u mentioned (except reinstall win, i saw ur link below but im scared to break something :/ ) and the 1 thing that made a difference was installing bh on my ram. so far its running smooth and im in disbelief. however 1 new issue is that i have a 4k 144hz monitor. im running 144fps but im pretty sure the game is on 1080p which makes it a lil blurry and there is no way to force resolution. i mean if there is a way to fix that i will be a happy brawler

check your scaling factor? and make sure its 100% for brawlhalla
otherwise that can be normal depending on what youre looking at; the non vector assets (like mapart and backgrounds) will get blurry at higher resolutions
and btw make sure to back up your game files when using a ramdisk that way if your pc unexpectedly loses power you wouldnt need to redownload it

yea the resoultion is very odd and blurry. 1 thing i should add is that i have a tripple monitor setup and the other 2 are 1080p. this is a different issue i have. my main monitor identified as 1 is not being treated as nr. 1 sometimes. example, i start escape from tarkov, or the last of us, and in settings it tells me that it uses my main monitor but displays it on my nr. 2 1080p monitor. i have to set the monitor on nr. 3 to display it on nr1. very weird. so i think thats whats happening here.

brawlhalla runs in fake fullscreen (borderless window) so it shouldnt care about monitors
its probably just windows being weird
you can also maybe try messing with the 3d settings in the nvidia control panel with things like antialiasing and just crank it to 16x msaa

brawlhalla is extremely cpu limited btw so you have a lot of leeway with what you can do on your gpu

This has been a pain-in-the-butt issue since my Ubisoft store purchase back in March. Ubisoft support tickets in abundance, all passed down some incoming support pool cluster-f* only to refer me to Brawlhalla, and Brawlhalla doesn't answer emails nor any of my Google form support requests. I just wanted to play Brawlhalla with the gear and battle passes I purchased.

Ubisoft Connect will NOT connect to Brawlhalla servers when launching the game. Epic connects. Steam connects. Google connects. They all show linking with Ubisoft, but my $65 Ubisoft DLC purchase will not show up because Ubisoft does not connect to the game servers to sync inventory.

I've done everything suggested from the website (antivirus, available ports, etc.) and community social sites/forums, yet nothing resolves the Ubisoft-specific/Brawlhalla issue.

Has anyone else experienced similar or knows how to resolve Ubisoft Connect's failed connection issue?

if you mean dash jumping its just input speed/timing. some key/button layouts just make it hard to go fast so iirc people have to make a layout that just fits the best for it. I cant do it at crazy speed cause i do all my movement with one hand. i can see how people get that fast by having jump and/or dash on one hand and direction inputs on another

Hello, quick question guys: Is there a way to check which Legends I have won with (trying to complete the Esports V.2 Color Scheme Event)? It seems that when I win with a Legend, it shows me at the end a check mark on the legend's icon (as it should), but next match I win with a different legend and it shows no check mark with previous legend I won with... (I recall on the previous events like this, the checkmark stayed for all legends you already won with. That made it easier to track which Legends you were missing to get the win with.)
