Generally try to approach with movement instead of attacks, that way if they are dashing away whenever you approach you can keep chasing them instead of committing to an attack, its generally good to try to use movement always instead of attacking until you know it'll hit or you are predicting them to get hit by it

I'm sure you could find some good guides. I don't know of any specifically. Stage control is all about position. You generally want to be at center stage. While at center stage you can play passively and your opponent will be forced to attack because they don't have much space to work with. Try to notice patterns about how they approach and punish them when they mess up

Morning all. Over the last couple of days to complete the Hammer Legends win, I forced myself to play Magyar as I have no hammer legends currently. Although I still dislike playing Hammer, I found myself enjoying Great Sword quite a bit.

So I'm now looking to pick up my first Great Sword legend and not sure who to pick up. I've narrowed it down to Jaeyun and Mako as I enjoy playing both Sword and Katar's quite a bit.

I know I'll eventually have all legends unlocked, but which one should I pick up first? (I have enough to get both, but I was going to pick up one Great Sword and probably Wu Shang)

Whenever i doing a jump into fast fall it looks completely normal
But when my opponents are doing this, they are literally teleportating up and down and it looks like 1.5 or 2 times faster than anything i doing
This is not a ping problem, i guess, because my 2v2 partner is living much closer to the eu servers and additionaly he plays on 144hz (while im on 60) and says that their jump-fast-falls look like the same teleportation thing to him too

1. Is the Rematch function a little bit buggy? It feels like the opponent picks the same character but not the same colour. I am getting sometimes confused.

blasters dsig and nsig will usually be able to counter, depending where the player is. try to use advantage of the blasters able to keep them at a distance, them being guns. when they charge you just hit a light attack, and try to stop them for a sec then just run away if unprepared to get your bearings back together. with scythe just try to read them, but if lance is really that bad for you spend hours in training with nix and a chosen lance legend.

some people are having an issue with the newest patch and one of the fixes I know is to run the game as admin (might have to tick that box in Brawlhalla.exe settings) but yesterday would be on the new patch

i'd reinstall and try running as admin, if not you can try some of the eac solutions but i doubt its EAC compatibility or anything since it worked recently

%noeac Yeah techtest is generally better for most people, you can use stuff like -framefixunbounded on it to completely uncap fps and other QOL features. The base techtest also is generally just better.
I would test if it runs with techtest if you use the launch option -noeac (see below)

If you're getting an error related to "easy anti cheat", add the -noeac launch option in Steam -> Brawlhalla -> Settings -> Properties:

1. Right click the game in the library
2. Click properties (see image below)
3. Go to the general section
4. In the bottom text field, add -noeac

Brawlhalla will now launch with Easy Anti-Cheat disabled.

Please note that you will not be able to play in Ranked or Tournament lobbies when EAC is disabled. As of Patch 6.07, EAC is required for Ranked and Tournament lobbies.

Okay, well since eac is definitely causing it, I can see if i can learn anything from your logs, but generally the errors are pretty useless - if you do want to let me have a look, do this -

1. attempt to open brawlhalla WITHOUT the launch option -noeac
2. close the game and press windows key + R,
3. type %appdata%\EasyAntiCheat
4. drag both service.log and anticheatlauncher.log files from windows explorer into my discord DM (i will send you a message)

Depends, what legend do you play?

But some general tips is work on your movement, if you always approach with attacks mix it up, approach with weapon throws or movement, try to implant that into your play style as well as think about what attacks you use, if you tend to throw out random moves that gets you punished just don’t, instead think more about what you do. And adaption, really important. If your opponent have a certain habit when getting hit get used to it, or if they always recover in a certain when put off stage, those small things could lead to you winning

ensure your aimup and jump buttons are separated to follow this guide effectively

first way is more inconsistent than the second

dlight > jump > cd > nair

if the dlight is gc-ed (gravity cancelled), you do not need to jump
the cd (chase dodge) is horizontal
this is a true combo on any dexterity

second and better way to dlight nair is the buffer version

dlight > buffer cd > nair

you buffer the cd by jumping in the first few frames of the cd emitting
the timing for this is very percise and will take a lot of practice
