Same problem with some of mine and later down the kids.
Too bad you cannot click "career" from the cellphone and when you get info you could click a "go to work" button.

But I think it's the game forgetting your Zoi has school/work. Sometimes it's really bad. One of mine stopped going to work 3x a week and only goes 1x week now. I hope this is fixed in the June update for sure.

I believe you can just push the stairs toward the platform sometimes it takes some work and I've had more success with using short stairs as opposed to the regular stairs.

What happens if you create a new zoi in a standalone family, transfer them to an empty lot without building anything and then forget about them? Will they figure out a way to take care of their basic needs? Do they go out and about on their own or do they just stand around in the empty lot until they die?

In my game they even starve while living in full functional houses. I tried with autonomy on and off in city and zoi settings. The other needs go down as well ;-; Not all of them though. It's so weird.

For what it's worth, I did try an experiment. I created a new zoi family with one zoi in it. I didn't add it to a lot. I then walked around town for 2 in game days. Despite encountering many other Zois that were not in the "manage family" screen and therefore homeless Zois, I never encountered the one I created. Also, you can view all active Zois in the karma screen including homeless Zois. My newly created zoi wasn't in this screen until I added it to a lot.

The goal is to find ways to insert custom made Zois into the city so I can interact with them if I see them.

I wonder if all Zois are going to have homes in the future. Make most of the random homes home empty but buyable and then the 50 or so Zois in the entire city could live in whichever lots the game randomly gives them. They basically did this in the Sims 3 but there are more buildings and the cities are larger in this game so it might not be a priority for the devs.

To be fair there's A LOT of lots that are not usable right now (at least in Bliss Bay). Overtime if Krafton wanted, they could open ALL the lots... prefill them with generic (and maybe player created thru contest with specifications - ie: one floor 20x20) and that would help having more lots for more active families at the same time. I'm sure it will come, I don't see WHY it wouldn't to be honest.

Seems to be a mechanics limit that in order to be "part of the city", you need to reside in a lot/appartment.

In the Inzoi game, while there's no official "adopt a cat" mechanic, you can add cats to your world through the City Editor. The game allows players to place various animals, including cats, as static decorations to enhance their game environment. open the map and press 'city appearance' at the top of the screen followed by 'animals'

You need to find the odd NPC that has "Pleasure" as his/her value, only then will the option be there.
Some games it's near impossible to find an NPC with what you need.
It's not your own guy that decides for that one, it's whom you are talking to.

Worst case scenario, just make a temporary zoi and add him/her to your family. Just give that zoi the value you're looking for, it may work. Or keep looking thru town, just make sure to friend that person so you could meet up if you get the same urge later.

yeah, random NPCs your zoi never talked to ignoring door permissions is a thing, yet to figure out why that happens. at first I thought it was just a Aram Estate in Dowon issue related to house size or the game thinking inside the home is somehow public property didn't know it happens with apartments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoYzf3JevAo
maybe I hope to get a tad more free time to figure out what causes random NPCs to suddenly/randomly want to be in your zoi's home.

You can go fishing in Dowon. At the Harang River Park. There are these bags on the ground and when you click on them, you can go fishing 🐠

I was in a park, in that vid, the cats can not be clicked on, it only selects the ground under them. none of the cats in Dowon I've seen so far are interactable at all (temple, central park, outside the karaoke bar, etc). no glow when hovering the mouse over them or anything.

I was at that spot in the park when I set it to the same level ye had, and no cat appeared there, wasn't till I went home and then just cranked it to max and went back that the cat appeared there.

game may just pick random spots for lower levels, or just not spawn in a cat where you are if wasn't one already, guessing.

I hope we get to set those values ourselves in the menu.
We already have length of day, all we need is length of year (in days), and length of seasons (in days), Zoi life expectancy (in years).

That way you can do something like -> a year is 12 days, seasons of 3 days each.
That would also make pregnancy last 9 days (with each trimester lasting 3).
But with menu options, everyone can find their due.

Gonna suggest this in "life and death" to make sure they (Krafton) see it.

Once you have completed a main floor, press PAGE-UP and build on top of that floor.
You'll have a thin white-ish ceiling/floor for that 2nd floor to use to build on.

yeah, thats odd, esp without custom textures or meshes (outfits), hmm. shouldn't be over a size limit, yet don't think thats the error code, just seen others get a size error with canvas.

EO4 errors should be a layering error from a texture or custom outfit part. I have tested a few, and some of my earlier textures from the...
odd as hell with just in-game assets. maybe check game file integrity in the steam app, then try making a new one to test?

right click the game on the left side of steam, then go from there...

if that's ok, it may be a corrupted asset save (it happens randomly), or something up with the inter-webs (bad connection or server issues). 🤷

I was hoping not to age in my next game but what's the point if you cannot have family play.

What does it mean when another inzoi’s name isn’t on your phone list?

Does it mean that they’re dead or that they no clipped out of existence?
I can’t find them in families or the karma status report…

Random side note: it seems like how NPC families are added is that a new family member is generated every time you reach a new relationship stage with an NPC inzoi. Eventually, once your inzoi close enough with the NPC, you can play their family.

I haven't been paying attention but the fact they're talking about Blender is promising. Bethesda really dropped the ball on Starfield modding because you need a bunch of obscure programs that barely work and doing simple things are really hard. Want to make a simple quest in Starfield? That's a big huge time consuming job for no reason.

I never even figured out how they expected us to do textures and I had a bunch of scripts and crap everywhere just to "compile" reskins.

Tbf anything involving 3d models in Sims is a major ordeal too. I don't remember what all it takes but I remember anything involving animations or bones was really ridiculous.

Q: How can i apply ground textures on the garage roof?
Problem is that the game sees this surface as a ceiling so i can only colour the underside.

need to add a half wall, then you can make it shorter yet not flat, that will trick it into making a 'floor' on top you can change the color of separately.

unfortunately, if you remove more than one wall (and sometimes one will do it as well) it will yeet the floor, so can't always add a wall around then yeet the wall to keep the floor.

that's aram estate, another note, the "go home" coding will always make the zoi go to the lower right corner in your screen cap, and your zoi will go to the same point before going anywhere off the lot. been fussing with that lot for a while.

so you will want a path through them bushes to that spot there, FYI. rather than making the zoi walk the long way around.

20? I get capping FPS to what the monitor can do (60hz or 140hz or whatever), I would think if the GPU can't do over 20fps without crashing, that may indicate a significant power/electrical or thermal failure with the card.🤷
look to see if the fans are blocked by dust, check the PCIe edge connector on the card for oxidation, is the power supply about to give out completely, is there a cold/broken solder joint on the card, etc.

Just checked the mod site and that's one of the most vague installation informations ive seen lol.
Maybe creating the folders manually will work - it's not uncommon to have to do that.

For the no intro mod i also needed to make a mods folder i think.
Worth a try, if it doesn't work i'm out of ideas and you could leave feedback on their nexus comment section.

The rest of the mods I downloaded were paks files so they were easier I just wasn't sure if the scripts should go in the mods folder with those or not

Yes, but for some weird reason you have to save it to Canvas.
Take control of that Zoi, select the option to change clothing and it'll bring you to the studio.
Go in Zoi preset tab and save it to Canvas.

Then if you want it to local preset, go to canvas, download your own creation, modify something (color of whatever by a single point like CEB4F3 to CEB4F4) and then save that Zoi again... this time s/he will be local.

Can't wait for them to improve on that, it's a twisted way of getting it done.

Did you also try the new short stairs? It's a bit of a hassle until they snap to the platform but I got it done with them. Turn them in the right direction with C and Y so they face the platform and also try to rotate the camera so you can try from different angles, eventually they snap 🏡

most annoying with steps, are the keep-out zones, lights doors even walls/railings above will block them. platforms, 4 steps up min, steps won't 'go' with less.

Is it possible to import nomal maps, specular maps and all the stuff that add reflectiveness to custom textures?
I imported a texture but realised it absorbs all the light and makes it look very unnatural.

I suspect there is a how-to pending for some mod kit update for that eventually, kind of difficult to make props and stuff without it. I think all we got for now is diffuse, so pick a texture that's about the correct spec/gloss/bump/norm/etc, then drop your diffuse texture onto it, guessing on that.

we not still using ambient to fake diffuse with lighting, are we? some games do that with space ships cuz lack of light in space.

I want to divide this kitchen with a short, open halfwall AND have it a separate floor material - upon opening this halfwall the large room merges into the kitchen making it one room/ one floor.

You could try to build it as a full wall and then select it and change it to another wall type (see pic)

The problems seems unsolvable and actually more complex than i thought... The front (left) part was supposed to be outdoors with a shor stair.
Somehow this platform affects the ground inside and changes get applied from one to another but there is not "good" configuration. It either eats the kitche floor again or the items fall through... silly verandar... 😒 lol

I FIXED IT AND I GAVE BIRTH SUCESSFULLY.

I exited the game and loaded up a save prior to when the bug happened. Then it gave the prompt to "give birth" and the cut scene happened

Had to debug a build I downloaded from a fellow French guy called "Maison Bleue" (blue house). He had such a LONG terrain that the house was literally lost miles down at the back. Barely made it fit in the studio and manage to move it near the center... Studio is good for debugging like that.

it's not the 3D objects in modern games thats the issue, it's how engines are rendering them.

as said, modern engines are made to make RT look good, and RT only does every 8th or so pixel each frame. the rest must be filled in with AI tools and fuzzing stuff like TAA.

What you could try is not using the map to tell them where to go but to move the camera to the place you want them to go, click on the ground and chose 'walk here' or 'run here'. For me it works quite well and I follow them often through the city. But maybe the distances I try are not far enough? But yesterday they ran from near the Central Park in Dowon to the river and I think there are quite a few subway stations and they didn't use any of them. It's worth a try ^^'

nvidia drivers been like AMD few years back, constant issues.

I had to revert waaaaay back to 566.14 'studio' for my RTX4060 and RTX3060. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/235906/ newer drivers kept reverting to 138MHz comatose mode with anything OpenGL (Blender, Hexagon, Daz Studio, etc).

put a wall around the spot ye want to yeet, railing is better as you can keep it. then select the floor inside the isolated area and yeet it. I hesitate in saying yeet the railing after as sometimes the game just fills the larger room back in. and TBH I have no clue how the Friday update will change that glitching-to-make-it-work thing.

I have a long counter with 4 seats (that "fits" like chairs to a table or computer desk) and yet if 4 of my 8 zois already st at the dining table, the others never use the counter space to eat there. They go away to other rooms.

Just wanting to confirm this is not a build error on my part and that it is (at least for the moment) normal behavior.

I have two lots with these counters, on one they eat without hesitation and on the other they didn't, not even when I told them to sit first and set the plate with food right in front of them ^^' I deleted the door and then they sat and ate! It's as weird as with the desks. They refuse to use the computer and when I place each of the objects again, it works like a charm.

Okay so... Zois can sit on a stool at a counter, but not drop food on counter to eat from.
I did extensive testing and they just DO NOT want to sit there and eat.
I guess it's suggestion/feedback time.

You could manually stop them from eating and put the plates on the counter yourself, that's what I do sometimes. Where do they put the plates after cooking? When I removed the door, they sat there and ate because there was no other option. Ah, and did you replace the counter/barstools? When things like this happen, I think, maybe the object has a kind of 'memory' and gets somehow bugged. Like the desks. When I replace everything from the build menu, it works. For example in my PC cafe, there are 8 computers and only one didn't work. I tried to let the chair snap to the table again and so on but only when I replaced all objects (computer, chair and desk) it worked again.
In the second pic, they eat at the counter without hesitation. Even though there are other options, the counter is the nearest to the fridge and ramen maker so they grab the food and eat there. And in the third pic you can see that Noxee even serves the cake on the counter. Then they got up, grabbed their slices, sat at the counter again and ate.
What's different at the counter (compared to the dining table) is, that they hold the plates/bowl in their hands instead of leaving them on the table/countertop while eating. Maybe they have 'difficulties' in the animations sometimes from picking the food up from the counter? So best option might be, they grab the food and don't place it on the counter first, sit, pick it up again and then eat(?) instead just sit and eat without the steps in between.
Another suggestion is to try to just put the counter plus stools and a fridge in a room and look what happens when you tell them to grab prepared food (like Bibimbap).

Was not using the stools you are, was using the round ones with 4 legs. Though I did try a chair shaped one and did not work. The counter is empty, no item on it. Tried deleting counter and stools and placing new ones, even tried different counters (there's a cheap one and a premium one). none worked.

Counter is closest to fridge, yet zois go in other room (glass table with laptops) to eat there.
