It's part of the game progress, yes. If you're early in the game, my advice is to not open toolboxes. You need space, and the tools you get from these can clog up your farm.

But don't shovel/delete them either. They're useful for repairing buildings later on.

• Check the game every 4 hours to collect the 5 free gems.
• Open silver chests for the best items for the optimal effort. You’ll get some amount of gems from those.
• Merge 5 of your gems instead of just 3. Merging 5 items gives you the same amount as if you were to merge 6. Keep doing this for ALL tiers of gems until you hit the highest tier.

There’s nothing more to it than that and keeping in mind how you spend them tbh. They’re one of the most rare resources in the game for a reason.

There are three types of keys in the game: bronze, silver, and gold. Only bronze and silver ones can spawn from crates. Bronze keys open bronze treasure chests. Silver keys open silver treasure chests. Gold keys open gold treasure chests. You need 2 keys of a certain type to open the corresponding chest (e.g., you need 2 silver keys to open a silver treasure chest).

The problem is that treasure chests only stay on your map for a limited time (24 hours). Keys can stay on your map forever. Collect keys so that you can be ready to open treasure chests whenever they drop from your crates.

Keys can also be combined! Combine 3 bronze keys to make 1 silver key. Alternatively, you can combine 5 bronze keys to make 2 silver keys. Combine 5 silver keys to make 2 gold keys. Most people will tell you that silver keys are the main ones worth saving for. Gold keys take too long and bronze treasure chests don’t give you too much.

Lastly, treasure chests are good to open because they always give you some amount of gems, energy, greenhouse parts, and toolboxes.

i just recently got done with a 2hr stone and i was wondering if there was just a better way of doing things

I have a method, depending on how much energy you have

(After you bought all premium land) there is

I’ll give you an example of my method:

• Start with 50/50 energy
• Use 5 to work on an untouched tree (for example). Now you have 45 energy.
• Visit a player’s farm and get 20 energy (assuming you have 2x). Now you have 65/50 energy.
• Come back. Use 20 energy on some other object. The object will take 4.5 minutes (actually 5 minutes, but you can shave off the last 30 seconds at the end of most processes in this game) to deconstruct. You now have 45 energy.
• Work on your farm for those 4.5 minutes.
• Come back to the object. Collect your goods.
• Use your remaining 45 energy on an object that needs it and come back to the game later.

The above is just one example, but hopefully it gives you an idea of how you can more efficiently use your energy instead of chipping away at one object in a straightforward sequence.

Also, when you have that surplus energy, that is a good time to collect any 270 energy units.

• Start with 50/50
• +4 —> 49/50 if you wait and let it reload after using 5 on an object.
• +20 from visiting a farm

My problem with that is that you’re gonna end up with a bunch of objects that need 1-2 hours to unlock. You might as well cascade your energy imo, unless you’re using gems to get rid of the ones that take a longer time. If I have surplus gems, I would use those on 1-2 hour ones.

Big 2 questions are

1. Are you using Gems (for 2nd worker & skipping wait time)
2. How much energy will you get

If you use 1 worker & don't skip (-> don't use gems) then the only "really" important thing is ending your session with a big one (if possible a 50, otherwise a 45)

If you use a 2nd worker you can constantly chop down trees until the 40/45/50 (only use one worker for 35's/40's/45's) and then skip the big timers with energy gained from etrading or the 270 energy supply beacon (if you skip the 45 & 50 you can clear 3 big trees/stones and only need 15 additional energy - or if you skip 40/45/50 you can skip 2 with 0 additional energy)

Gold key will never drop from boxes. The chests drop was increased a some patch ago. Silver Chest is the most optimal Chest to open since the reward is close to equal with gold Chest

Yeah bonus happens randomly. It’s very very rare you get 4 times instead of two 😂 happened to be twice only so far
