Heey, got a new phone last week and meant to ask how much battery usage is normal for Xbox Cloud/Remote gaming?
Had around 2 hours and 10 minutes of playtime and it drained 29% of my battery today.
But I was also playing during train/car rides mostly. So a lot of 5G network switching constantly. I was using Edge browser.

Like it'll random and repeatily completely lose it and go 140p randomly, even with better xcloud which lets me refresh without losing my session it fixes it temporarily but it always comes back whether it's in 5 mins or 20 or sometimes right away

It's the refresh button on the xcloud menu when you open it up, it automatically suggests you press it to apply settings but it also refreshes the game stream which fixes the resolution bug I am assuming we both experience.

If you're more into open world games but no rpg play gta or watch dogs, if you like games from movies try star wars jedi fallen order/survivor, if you like multiplayer to have fun try gang beasts, if you like shooting games try cod or halo, or just try halo for the story, it's very fun. If you like sports you can try eafc25 or college football. Depends on the games you like.

I play lots of different games and I like getting the day one releases, so it's worth it to me.

Playing just one game at a time also depends on how much time you spend doing that. If you play a lot, even playing just one game at a time, you can get through multiple games in a month, depending on the length of the game(s).

So factor in the cost of the game(s) you intend to play, how many you'd get through in a month and if the cost of buying those games is less than what Game Pass costs, it's worth it. If Game Pass works out more expensive because you don't get a lot of time, then just buy the games instead, or sub to a cheaper tier.

Each persons situation is different, which is why expense and worth are relative and subjective.

I'm on 300 Mb/s (so 35 MB/s or so?) fiber connected via Ethernet, and have no downloads or videos running in the background, but it's still unbearably laggy, especially in input latency, even if I set it to 720p

Makes multiplayer stuff like CoD borderline unplayable, when that's probably the #1 thing you'd wanna cloud (apparently 220 GBs free is still a full disk, thanks Battle.net)

Can anyone help me with optimizing my Amazon fire stick? I'm not sure how you can attach an Ethernet cable onto a fire stick but that was a suggestion I found. Just turned Amazon to pure game mode and going to try that out ... The streaming quality is great it's just the input lag is unbearable.

Hey everyone! I'm not sure if this is the right thread to talk about this, but I'd like some advice before I take the plunge. I have a nice laptop that can run some good games, but I can't get Indiana Jones and The Great Circle to run. Being a fan of the series, it's a bit of a bummer, so I'm thinking that getting it from the Cloud with Game Pass Ultimate might work... But I have no idea how it works, if it runs smoothly, etc. I did an internet connection test that showed "896.15 Mbps" for downloading, and almost the same for uploading. Is that enough to run the Cloud without too many bugs or lag? Anyway, if you have any advice or information that could help me out, that would be great, I don't know much about this stuff, haha. Hey man first of all its pretty good internet speed,about the bugs and lags it depends on how far u are from xbox data centers,otherwise u just need an active Xbox game pass ultimate subscription on your microsoft account,login with ur account on xcloud,connect a controller(any) and start playing !

Also with ultimate tier u get max quality 1440p u have to enable it in settings,tho all games are capped at 60 fps,but still works great tho.m
