@sharp aurorajust got home, looking at it, it appears (as they used to) those video cards run hot. you could get (if you don't already have it) msi afterburner to see what the card is doing under idle and load. I'm on a similar setup as you, but the 1600x cpu, different ram, on a ssd, but a nvidia 2070 rtx. Depending on what im doing it bounces from 60 - 85 fps in oribos, 90+ out in the world doing w/e. If you have 2 displays, have msi afterburner running on one and watch it in oribos & other areas and in other games.

Also, I personally don't like psu's under 850w, especially on a 6 core + machine and certain video cards. Worse case scenario: that psu simply isn't big enough. Having msi afterburner up, will show one way or another.
