There’s no way retail could be like classic with the narrative driven game play and still be a competitive (in the $$$ sense) game. New generations of game devs know that they have to make it a competition to get Gen Z involved OR they’re only selling to the older generation which comes with its own issues

Personally, I burnt out from dealing with too much RNG from loot, spec nerfs/buffs every reset, and maintaining good relations with the guild.
I played around 9-12 hour/week

Here's the thing, the hard part is not the difficulty of the content, but the process of getting into a guild and securing a position in the raid team. I spent half a year trying to join one and finally achieve my first CE. It shouldn't be this annoying to play endgame content.

So for the ttrpg counterparts druids are really strong in DnD and in Pathfinder, they are just boring to play because somehow people like shapeshifting but game designer dont want you to. It got better in DnD tho.

Yep that the point, you have so many spells but when you shift you cant cast any and the game keep giving spells but no improve shapeshift. Maybe only moonbear is viable but still not enjoyable playstyle.

Blizzard as a whole has been shit for a lot longer than that. A good amount of the original devs came from other games where they staged riots and protests going as far as greifing other players / guilds because they weren't fotm going as far as causing massive lag and server shutdowns even when another guild / players beat them at something.

In the real world anyone else would be fired for incompetence and banned from that industry. Ion is yet another failure that can't comprehend what he is doing a good amount of the time.
Then their was that shit dev that tried to force players to play his crap pvp area, which also sucked. Honestly, remove the incompetent idiots, bring back metzen and tseric in leadership roles and maybe it could be saved.
