We've heard your feedback on straightening out the FAQ section and cleaning up the threads in Questions-And-Help. To do this, we've created a new role <@&1136359301804478554> for folks who have been top contributors to the most frequently used threads and resources. Guides will be able to edit the FAQ, including deleting messages to help keep FAQ threads clean and functional. If a message gets deleted in an FAQ post after a few hours, please know that this is just to keep the FAQ as usable as possible for the most people.

Once the game has been live, we plan on disabling FAQ posting for non-guides, but for now as the community is still figuring out the game we feel it's best to let folks ask questions / add comments in the FAQs.

Heads up y’all! We found some instances where utilizing Cinnamoroll’s ability while getting thermal boosted would allow you to basically block your save file (if you activated cut scenes out of order). This is because Cinnamoroll’s ability was set to 100% and that math actually means you can infinitely go up under the right circumstances.

We’re trying to figure out the least amount we can reduce it by to fix the infinite upward glitch, but it will be a slight downgrade. TBD on whether the fix makes 1.2 or goes into a future update, but It Is Coming.

Heads up: There is one new thing coming in multiplayer friendship levels that is a general accessibility feature. We wanted to release it in multiplayer friendship levels and as a solo companion bonus at the same time, to ensure everyone could utilize it.

Unfortunately, issues with making a certain character companionable came up that have prevented us from getting that into the 1.3 update. As a result, there will be a Cool Thing that is multiplayer exclusive for 1.3, but that will be resolved in 1.4 and accessible to all. We apologize in advance! We tried our best, but the multiplayer backend work impacted what we had scoped for 1.3, and some things unfortunately had to be bumped to 1.4.

Last night we had to make the difficult decision to** cut the Crystal Sensor Upgrade from 1.3**. It was not meeting our standards for quality and will need to wait for a future update where we can dedicate more polish to it.

In lieu of that, let's talk about Multiplayer! We are shipping with a trial version of our new multiplayer backend. Players who download version 1.3 will be automatically put into either the existing old multiplayer backend or the new compatibility backend. If you would like to force the new backend you can go into settings and choose "Multiplayer Compatibility Mode". This will switch you over to the new backend.

We're doing it this way because we want to evaluate the performance differences between the two backends and find any edge cases with the new one before it goes out to everyone.

Here's what we're doing about plush crafting! It wasn't just the issue of the woodblock recipe being quite stick-heavy; having to craft many sub-ingredients was also making MSP's ultimate gift a bit excessive in the time department. As a result, we're changing the recipe for Lamb Plush to take 1 stick instead of 1 woodblock. This will go live in the 1.3.2 hotfix.

We’ve been working on a master palette for the game over the past milestone and hope to make adjustments to existing furniture and clothing each milestone to ensure everything can better harmonize. Our Sanrio residents are the anchor for these palettes, so you can expect more things that will coordinate with cosmetics like character sweaters and hats (and some adjustments so those coordinate with each other in some cases 😅)

• Taking a photo with Nisetama-san will now give you.... 8 yolks! That's right, all your yolks in one convenient place 🙂

Sprinkler Hat to Water Entire Patches

Starting in 1.7, players will be able to wear a Sprinkler Hat themselves. While a player is wearing the sprinkler hat, watering any flower will water all flowers in that flower patch. This is a temporary solution while we sort through the UI Input nuance discussed in this feedback thread: https://discord.com/channels/1105575633943277629/1237578744793796710 We understand it's not ideal to have to compromise your style for functionality, but we wanted to have an option for the many folks who expressed fatigue with the time it takes to manage flowers.

Photo Saving Options

When you go to save a photo, you will now have options about where the photo is saved/shared to. This will be based on your device's capabilities. We did this for folks who wanted to share/copy an image without it taking up space on your device. (Note you can still easily save to device by choosing "save to device" from the list). Longer term, we intended to break these out into separate options ("Save" and "Share"), but for now, they'll show up when you choose to Save.

1.7.1 Hotfix Incoming

Hey all, we just submitted the 1.7.1 hotfix. The following should be working properly:

• Chococat's crafting bonus
• Game saving after Super Siblings quest - please avoid this quest until the update is available!
• Keroppi and Badtz-maru will no longer be reserved by the Rainy Day Rambles quest
• Breaking boulders out of order no longer blocks Cafe Cinnamon Unite
• Gift map toggle functionality
• Flower spawn rates

The flower issues around progress skipping and watering seeds are still being looked into.

We'll let you know once the build gets pushed out. Our Dear Friend (who adored your pet pictures) is prioritizing reviewing this so it can get into your hands as soon as possible. Thank you for the bug reports, logs, and patience!

Weather Improvements

Thanks so much to everyone who’s given feedback about their experiences with weather in the game. In light of this feedback, we’re making several changes to how weather works.

Coming in 1.7.5 (ETA second-ish week of June):

• Making the weather timer persist between sessions
• Shortening the maximum time between weather events
• Extending the duration of weather events
• Removing the quests associated with catching weather critters
• Adding Starfall Chests to Cloud Island during Starfall
• Fixing inaccessible Starfall Chest locations
• Making it more clear that Starfall only occurs at night

We hope these changes will create better experiences for folks, and will continue to monitor and iterate.

New Bug Tracking

To better consolidate issues, we are switching to a new structure for reporting bugs. Instead of using forum-style channels, we will now have a text-based channel per update.

This channel will have a stickied post of Known Issues with links to the appropriate messages/threads for them. New issues can be posted to the main channel as a Title with additional information contained inside the thread -- this includes folks who are also experiencing the same issue and any discussion around the issue.

We will be aggressively deleting duplicate issues and conversations that are posted in the main channel. To help, we will be reviving the Wrangler role. If you would like to help squash duplicate posts, please write into ModMail requesting Wrangler permissions with a statement about why you would like to help wrangle.

This change will be going live today and we will be making another Heads Up post with the link to the new bug channel.

Cherry Blossom trees have moved from the Oasis to the Merry Meadow! They’re happy and thriving there. Once revived, the rest of the trees around the Dessert Boat lake are more lush.

Gemstone Town

We’ve improved the pathing in the original area, rearranged some building placements, and created specific zones for pickups (cactus garden for cactus cream, deadwood forest is a new source of sticks). Happy foraging!

• Coco and Nuts are going to become seasonal and will switch off availability every season (eg: Coco in the fall, Nuts in the winter, etc)
• We are going to be cracking down hard on time traveling, and ESPECIALLY multiplayer time traveling. If you have time traveled, you will no longer be able to join anyone else for multiplayer, so going ahead on one save file and gifting your main account items from the future will no longer work (and it will likely perma-bork your secondary account)
• We are also going to be aggressively deleting wiki pages that contain data-mined content; a data-mined warning is no longer sufficient as we prepare for longer update cycles on different platforms in 2025
• The long-awaited rules addendum/update will be happening shortly, stay tuned

<@&1184179694522863800> Let's talk about The Case of Hello Kitty's Bow.

We released an end game quest a few updates ago to create Hello Kitty's Iconic Red Bow, which required having red colored flowers of each of the four native types in Merry Meadows. This was designed to be a longer term quest, in line with many of the Bestie Quests. However, it compounded two RNG components for folks who wanted to complete it solo: getting a patterned flower and getting a color transfer.

It wound up being a more difficult quest than we intended, so we were honestly a bit relieved when folks reported you could get around the second part of the quest (Fashionuls) by just putting a single bow on and off a single Nul 7 times. That seemed to at least make up for the increased difficulty of the initial quest to some extent.

Jump to 2.0.X updates, when suddenly we get reports that the workaround is no longer working. I'm confused because to my knowledge we didn't touch that code at all, and we had no way of preventing the workaround anyway. Design is confused by the bug reports about it because to their knowledge, they didn't touch that code at all, but it was always designed to need 7 bows on 7 nuls all at the same time.

TL;DR --- no one knows how this happened. We actually have no idea what made the workaround suddenly not work, but it certainly wasn't by design. 🤷‍♀️

We’d initially set it up to be at parity with other platforms, as one of our big goals is to provide everyone with a similar experience.

Due to the game’s overwhelming popularity, Valve actually contacted us to see about improving the flow. As such, we’ve been able to work together and make it so that Steam players can now upgrade from Standard to Deluxe.

Request for Feedback - Tuning Adjustments

Hey everyone! For awhile now, we've noted that the "optimal" gifts for characters don't always align with the number of Hearts (aka matching tags) it has. We believe this both creates a super confusing user experience, but also undermines the entire goal of the tag system. As such, we're looking for ways to bring the actual Friendship value more in line with the matched tags.

We're looking for player feedback on the following proposal.

How it Currently Works

• Liked Tags give a 1, 2, or 3 point bonus based on the tag's rarity (Common / Uncommon / Rare)
• Unliked Tags give a 0, 1, or 2 point bonus based on the tag's rarity
• All gifts get a 0, 1, or 2 point bonus based on Friendship Level (Friends, Good Friends, Close Friends)

(Note that tag rarity is not surfaced in the game, but has been discovered by the community)

Re-Tune Proposal

• All three heart gifts get an additional +1 when given to a character
• becomes a Rare tag (it is currently Common)
• Un-liked Rare tags give +1, not +2

Switch/PC - Content Update 1 (CU1) -

“Friends, Furniture, and Frozen Peaks”

We’re currently working on Content Update 1 for Switch and PC! This FREE update will include highly requested QoL features like Furniture Stacking (which lets you place multiple items on tables, multiple items on mannequins, furniture on top of furniture, rugs on floors, and more) and Call Friend (so you can companion from anywhere), the expansions to Icy Peak (Blizzard Peak and Snowy Village), and lots of friend content, from bestie quests to character furniture sets.

For those familiar with the Apple Arcade version, this update will bring Switch/PC players up to parity with the 2.4 update, minus all second island content (aka no City Town).

We anticipate releasing CU1 sometime this Spring, but will confirm and provide more specifics at a later date.

Making Friendship Player-Friendlier

In an effort to address some confusing/frustrating UX around gifting friends, we are re-tuning friendship XP and gifts so that the number of hearts on a gift correlates with the amount of friendship and return gifts you receive. To enable this, we’ve made a few under the hood changes, including:

• +1 bonus for ❤️❤️ gifts
• +2 bonus for ❤️❤️❤️ gifts
• Non-preferred tags each contribute a single point
• Upgrades to some tags, including (common→uncommon), (common→uncommon), and (common→rare)

With these changes, two and three heart gifts will see a global increase in efficacy, which should help improve both mid and late game gifting, all while making the mechanic much simpler to understand. This resolves nearly all discrepancies where gifts of a lower heart value could potentially have more benefit to friendship.

This rebalance will go live first in the 2.4 Update on Arcade, (and therefore be part of CU1 for Switch/PC). We will continue to evaluate game balance going forward and make additional minor adjustments.

Real Time Elements

We’ve been reading the feedback on time-gating and mid-game progression and are currently investigating several approaches to assist with this (and make the game better for everyone). While the core gameplay loop is not in scope to change, we are evaluating cost/benefit of the following adjustments. THIS IS IN NO WAY A GUARANTEE that they will be implemented.

• Spawned items around the island accrue for up to 3 days
  • Reduces FOMO of missing days
  • Allows for longer play sessions on weekends / at player discretion
• Players receive bouquets from My Melody after not playing for X days
  • Reduces FOMO of missing days
  • Allows for longer play sessions but fewer days played playstyle
• Introduction of new resource that accumulates in real time vs just respawning at reset
  • Provides “something to do” after other resources are collected
  • Caps out so daily players don’t have to worry about long sessions if they don’t want to
• Some additional longer-term adjustments to planned future content pacing

For quests that require long term effort to unlock (for example: 3+ months of average play) would you prefer:

1. Have the requirements be an achievement, and the quest just doesn't appear at all until you get the achievement (It's not clear that there's a future quest, but it's not taking up space in your quest log)

2. Have the requirements be their own quest, even though it will be in the quest log for a long time (it's clear that doing the requirements will give you progress, but it's in your quest log for awhile)

3. Have a character dialogue option that lists the requirements before you can move forward (so it's not a quest or achievement, and you know it will get you something, but most players won't ever see it)

As part of welcoming our new PS5 players, and due to upcoming updates being better synchronized between PC and Switch, we're going to combine the "Hubs" for Switch and PC (and soon PS5). When this happens, we will have fresh new game-discussion, questions-and-help, and flowers channels.

We will also create new feedback and bug channels in the All Platforms section, since we noticed most feedback and bugs were similar across all platforms.

Multiplayer sections will remain separate per platform, since we're unable to support cross play.

• We'll be putting existing hub channels into a community archive; if you want to gain access to that archive, give yourself the Archivist role by typing .archivist

The CU 3.1 patch is now live on Steam. Here are some things are fixed and addressed in this update:

Quests

• Cogimyun's conch should no longer be in the world if a player has not purchased the Wheatflour Wonderland DLC. This conch can now be found in Wheatflour Wonderland. If you picked it up after purchasing and do not see it in your inventory, you can find it in Wheatflour Wonderland.
• Fixed an error in "Montage Magic" where a string of dialogue may appear in a language different from the one you are currently playing.
• The "Heart of Grain" quest now requires Wish me mell to be at level 16 (which unlocks the Flower Crown recipe). If you are stuck on this quest and do not have her at level 16, the step to create the Wheatflower Crown is automatically skipped.
• Players now are required to complete "Dessert-ed Boat" before starting the "Rescue! Friendship Island Awaits" quest.

Misc

• The Hello Kitty Flooring should appear normal now; it should no longer blink or "glitch" when in use.
• Flashing lights should no longer appear when players are exploring the Kelp Maze on medium quality graphics.
• Starfall and Paper Parade glasses now have their original frames.
• The textures on Jam Jamboree's Blueberry and Raspberry hats are restored to their original colors.
• Fixed an error where icons would not appear on top of crystals in Gem Match.
• The Furniture Customizer screen should no longer appear whited out during use.

The 2.11.1 hotfix is now available! 2.11.1 addresses the following issues:

• Previously, some Flowl statues were not redirecting gem projectiles when used for various puzzles. The statues should now redirect gem projectiles.
• The tutorial should now display the proper glyphs.

You can receive this update in two ways (these steps are from Nintendo's support website):

• **Auto update:**Select System Settings from the HOME Menu. Navigate to the System section, then set the Auto-Update Software option to On. Updates to installed software will be downloaded automatically while the Nintendo Switch console is connected to the Internet.
• Manual update: Check that the Nintendo Switch console is connected to the Internet. From the HOME Menu, select the icon for the software you wish to update without starting the game or application. Press the + Button or the - Button on your controller. Select Software Update followed by Via the Internet.
